Thank you ^ Hello everyone, This is the latest wagon to emerge from the wagon works, hopefully it'll be passed onto the paint department later today and visit the weathering department tomorrow. Thanks Nelson

Cor, thank you very much for the comments gentlemen, I'm always astonished by your responses from everyone, to me I believe without you guys I wouldn't be very good at what I do...
-
Look forward to seeing this evolve.

Thanks David ^ Hello everyone, I know I said it would be next week until I get the chance to model, but no homework = free modelling time so I got some free hours and finished this one off, some may say the weathering is too much but I like it and it's in it's last year of service with the UTA anyway. Thanks Nelson

Thank you gentlemen for your comments, I appreciate them a lot.

One of my earliest models, hence the lack of detail and no transfers but the kits are superb and very easy to put together. I have a couple more awaiting to be built, this time into NCC colours, if only we had more hours in a day lol.
-
Great pic and info Dhu Varren, very helpful indeed.
-
Those ratio coaches are actually models of the ones brought over during the blitz to help the NCC with damaged stock. 2 of them lasted into UTA. (I'll give a more detailed reply when I'm back home)

Thank you Kirley. Hello everyone, I got some handrails for the engine at model rail Scotland (which was a fantastic show btw) and put them on yesterday, apart from that the engine still looks the same, I'm now just waiting for some good wether then I can spray a primer onto her. Yesterday I also started this NCC coal wagon she is scratch built with platicard and some whitemetal buffers and axeboxes. I got a thin sheet of brass at my local craft store surprisingly enough and made the brake lever out of it, it turned out rather well so I'll be using the same method with my other wagons. School will delay this until next weekend, so until then Nelson

Plenty of pics on the web, but here's a few I picked out, none of these pics are mine, I just thought they are good to show off the size of these massive guns. 1/72 Then 1/35 What's that you want something bigger...... 1/16 Want something even bigger? Wait for it... 1/6th
-
The funny thing is you can get a model of the Gustav in 1/35 at over 6ft long! A friend of mine is building the same gun in 1/72nd and its only 3ft but still has taken over a year to complete.

What a beautiful model, so fine in detail.

Hello Everyone, The weather still isn't being too kind so I've just been sitting inside converting this GBL C class static model into a motorised GNRI PG class engine, the work included cutting through the footplate hollowing out the boiler and and cutting away the cab and cylinder covers. I've rearranged the splashers and added more sandboxes. The Tender has also been shortened and interior added. The engine Is still far from being finished but it's starting to take shape. Thanks Nelson

Thank you Mayner, John there are many, many, many more out there that can be used as a conversion but the only thing is when do you stop and when does it actually become easier to scratch build one instead of converting....
