  1. Excellent work on the signals, very nice! Where did you get the brass ladders? And old barney, thank you for the birthday day wish, 3 days ago was my birthday haha.
  2. Hahaha don't worry mate, I was getting confused for a second there until broithe said.
  3. I forgot all about the portrush flyer, whoops haha, nice video!
  4. Thanks 33lima for linking/posting the drawing and your detailed description of how you went about making your jeep. I can't wait to start my one now haha.
  5. Nice start Richard! The 3d printed windows do intrigue me, can't wait to see what those look like, and of course the completed model. If at all possible, Can you PM me the drawings that you used? I looked in the resources section here but can only find the incorrect 2 step drawing. Thanks.
  6. Thanks Leslie for posting the pics! And to Kirley for your comment. The door believe it or not, when closed actually stays closed, I was thinking about making a latch of some sort but it would be over scale and taking it too far haha, so instead there are 2 strips of plasticard on the ends of the bodies and when the door is pushed shut it lodges in quite nicely. Nelson
  7. I've always been recommend peco gear lube, obviously for gears, but I've never tried it myself, although I do use some very fine oil that I bought from Squires for moving parts such as valve gear and coupling rods.
  8. Wow! Thank you very much everyone! Seriously I appreciate all your comments, it always makes me proud of my work and happy with it and if anyone has any constructive criticism or advice fire away thank you again! You know what murrayec, it probably is
  9. Good luck Heirflick, now if only this was north of the border haha.
  10. Thank you very much everyone for your comments ^^ Here's the completed wagon, it should have more lettering but my transfer sheet is knackered so I must get round to buying a new one haha. Seen here in the UTA short lived PW livery. Thanks Nelson
  11. Hello Noel! Depending which way your wagon has warped, you could possibly try this technique. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/blog/75/entry-16039-lswr-stone-wagon/
  12. Ahh ok, I call them door springs thats why I got confused hahaha, I can post pictures of the ones I've built if anyone's interested?
  13. Pardon my ignorance but what is a brake wire protector? Is that the 2 staples below the door hinges?
  14. I have heard of this, but it's rather early days by the looks of it, only a few things available to buy....
  15. I found that if you use round, square and rectangle pliers then you don't need to separate the staples and they stay together, I add a small dab of superglue behind them after shaping, just incase the glue on the staples wear out or split.
  16. Thanks guys ^^ The newest wagon out of the works is this BCDR open wagon which will be done in UTA PW colours. Nelson
  17. That shed looks awesome, nice job!
  18. A new video from me enjoy! [video=youtube_share;VLdn_R1biSY]
  19. No, no I mean like this [video=youtube_share;t99N223fqCo] you could also livestream it, so you can be sitting at home and checking out what's happening at an exhibition in another country in real time.
  20. It would be pretty awesome of you had a 360 camera on a Quadcopter and had it in the middle of the exhibition hall......
  21. JB, I'm unable to go now so cross my name off the list please.
