  3. Hello everyone, Just wondering if you guys can help me out here, I'm looking for some plans/drawings of the CIE H vans that were commonly seen north and south, I want to make a model of one and maybe try out some resin casting in the near future to produce multiple models, Thanks in advance. Nelson
  4. 1) NCC mogul 2) NCC Jeep That's my top 2
  5. I'd be happy to pay for a scale steam loco, diesel not so sure
  6. Hi guys, Thought I'd share this with you, some amazing unseen footage from the 1960s when steam was still going in Northern Ireland, from jeeps to UGs, triple headers and scenes from bleach green, definitely something worth watching. [video=youtube_share;S_3fDS_YhWA] Enjoy Nelson
  7. That's an amazing pic thanks for sharing
  8. I love the open door on that 071 and detailed interior, nice job.
  9. It's awful to hear that Belfast model shop are no longer selling physically, quite sad actually, ah well times are tough in this day and age I suppose.
  10. Just wow, the paint job, the proportions, the detail is all just amazing, well done sir.
  11. What a great workbench set up, would love to have something like that in the future
  12. Just settling in after a great exhibition, it was a brilliant show and I think everyone really did enjoy themselves. A video of the show is still being edited and will hopefully be up sometime this week, my spoil wagons joined others on bleach green and together they recreated a classic 20 rake spoil train from the late 60s double headed by 2 Jeeps, what a sight it was, stay tuned for the vid of this. The exhibition also provided me the chance to give the milk van that I made to my friend and he was very happy with it, here it is on his layout (his pics) I have a number of examinations in the upcoming weeks so I'm not going to start any new projects until mid December, so until then I shall be finishing off current projects such as the seaplane and tank, just small military models, exams come first! But what is does give me the chance to do is go through everything I have and start ordering stuff ready for the new year, I've already ordered a lining pen and about to order stuff to help me with my wagon building.
  13. [video=youtube_share;p710ZMLYQls] A video of the show is already on YouTube, (Not my video)
  14. Excellent Kirely, thanks for the heads up I can't wait to get round to buying one, any chance of proper Irish wagons being produced?
  15. Isn't it just typical, once you get a correct wheelbase length 14ft (BR dogfish hopper wagon) the overall length is shorter only 22ft, but then again I guess you can always add to the length to make it correct?
  16. Finding a suitable wagon is quite hard, I was thinking about the LNER 21ton hopper wagons (Dapol do separate chassis for these) while the length is perfect the wheelbase is 12ft so that's Glenderg with 16ft and me with 12ft hahaha, must keep looking.
  17. Interesting picture Glenderg, are those ventilation windows on either side of the van? My plans say a 14' wheelbase but they could be wrong?
  18. The brown vans have a wheelbase of 14ft and their length over buffers are 27' 8" the total height from top of railhead to the top of the roof was 12' 4". Hope this helps can't wait to see your models of them and what a great pic that is above. Edit: if you want to see one in the flesh, downpatrick have a couple including 2 with the outside W irons.
  19. This is her, for some reason my ipad won't let me post pics http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/50929-nir-450-class-intermediate-8794/
  20. Hahahahahhah Sorry Glenderg, this tutorial is rather interesting and helpful, it almost makes me want to buy a flat now.
  21. That re painted Craven is just amazing.
  22. Wow I'd love to have that buffer no idea why tho lol
  23. Thanks for your comment, ^ I'll be changing the load shortly. A friend of mine wanted me to make him a Thomas the tank milk van and the orders were to keep it nice and simple so here's my efforts, it's a scratch built body on a Cambrian Underframe kit, the roof and couplings will be fitted after painting. Thanks Nelson
  24. Thanks warbonnet, yep picked that up the other day and its very good it's why I'm saying the load may be a bit too big but they could jut be big planks of wood
