  1. Thanks for the heads up mate on the tender, I've always wondered if he'd sell them separately, might have to get one very soon. WT would be good but interest would have to be very high if its going to go ahead.
  2. Hello everyone, Since my last post (the UTA carriage) there has been nothing new im ashamed to say on the workbench, basically because of school work etc... And all this fine weather but hopefully when the summer holidays come then ill be able to get back to proper modelling, last week I decoded to build a italeri panzer 3, Here it is, the Panzer III (3) by italeri, this is a nice simple kit, there's nothing really hard to do it but there is a large scope for detail. Last year I built one (as seen below) and I think it turned out quite well, but now I've got another kit of the exact same model but this time I'm going to see if I've improved in any way and see if it can be better than my first one. I've modified the commanders hatch so that it is now open, and I've also added battle damage but I'll show yous that when I've painted the tank in the next update, I'm going to leave it unmarked that way if I have a plan for a diorama in the future the. I won't have to worry about incorrect markings. To go along with the tank I've got 3 German panzer crew figures and they will be painted and placed on the tank to look as if they have stopped and are talking to eachother. Last years model Modified commanders hatch. I know not everyone will be interested on this but I thought I might as well keep yous all updated. Thanks for reading, Nelson

They even mention it in the first 2 posts on this page, http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/62553-backdating-a-mainlinehornby-dean-goods/page-2
  8. I think they are, but don't quote me on it, they seem to be waterslides.
  9. I've used a humbrol acrylic matt spray varnish, but it gave a rough finish and tends to go cloudy, and if the varnish gets in contact with enamel paint it just frosts instantly. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or are these common problems? Bear in mind that maybe not everyone has these problems, so it could be I have a dodgy can?
  10. Wow, I wish I could go, fantastic presentation amd fantastic use of information sheets and photos, I reckon your layout is best in show good luck for the weekend.
  11. I use humbrol enamel aerosols, they come in matt, satin or gloss. but I find the acrylic one to be hit and miss.
  12. I love the black boards that finish off the layout nicely, and the superb scenery and attention to detail, fantastic.

  21. To be honest the final finish that he got looked rather good, although I guess a lot of filling and filling was needed.
  22. Here's a link to it, http://www.shapeways.com/model/934389/4mm-scale-gnri-jt-tank-body-shell-16-5mm-gauge.html?modelId=934389&materialId=6 Although you will need to buy your own dome, chimney, buffers etc...
  23. I have seen the JT class on shapeways as well, but I don't really like the finish that 3d printing gives, so I didn't buy it, there is also the chassis on shapeways for the body.
  24. Railtec sell RPSI lining and numbers.
