  1. As would we all had there even been a timely announcement of a pending alternative which doesn't seem likely if you're purchasing these
  2. I understand the livery delay issue but pictures would speak volumes here if that were possible. I would be even more interested in GSR/GSWR if traction was available but right now that would probably amount to a OOworks J15. I liked the SSM GSWR Maroon bogie coaches but never got round to making any. In the absence of any steam traction option for the period realistically I would probably pass on GSR although I have one of everything green ordered in this range and a couple of BnT brakes
  3. 78 years of use would have out it at late GSR or inception of CIE
  4. Oddly in the Uk it would probably haven been listed as part of the original GSWR and they have to find a work around. I don’t think Ireland is that thoughtful in preserving heritage
  5. Read this entire thread only to find your post at the end , Dave. This is the most informative post regarding liveries. I realized the bowling ball livery is actually probably the only one that ran with the last of anything Orange This is so not my era as you know but as an ex-pat when these were introduced I don’t have any real nostalgia for them. I do like the look of the RTE Big Music week ( only nostalgic way to justify a purchase ) but I’m confused about the intercity ribbon livery post 2013. Is this when IE went I’ve to the current logo?
  6. Can someone explain the liveries on these? The post 2013 livery for example seems to have both intercity ribbons and rubix cube icons?
  7. Yes Grand job! We be needing the 800snext then, lads
  8. You know I had to get out of bed on this side of the world to see a timer at zero and nada. The lads need to stick to the old trains
  9. Oh that would make life so easy. Without being overly critical of the compromises IRM had to make for its Irish stock still running on OO gauge, the brakes are in line with that gauge rather than being on the correct place on the bogie, maybe it would have looked too weird for them to be in the correct position with the wheels themselves inboard on the bogies
  10. Difficult to judge the popularity of any of the IRM A class since a set number was not necessarily made, unless you have access to that close to the chest information? Popularity of the A46 liveried one could be related to the prevalence and longevity of the prototypical livery, anticipated demand, general appeal of the particular livery, batch sizes of other A class models, etc etc Given that the dark green livery was the official type for a decade, versus about 8 years for the lighter green, I presume the relative lack of light green in traffic is related to displacement by the substantial bogie coach building program of the early 50s, and some delay in repainting the dark green into light green particularly of they were being cascaded to secondary routes? Its a shame that we don't have an Irish rtr steam engine to pull these, other that a OOworks J15 I mean
  11. Speak for yourself, far from it. A little disinterested maybe but not dead
  12. Take it to the garden, granted not the best climate where you guys are, (we have our moments too) little interest in industrial though
  13. Well , if memory serves it became second in the batch after 1380 was converted to AM14.Wasn't 1381 refurbished to 1944 after being involved in the Cheryville accident? EDIT: On reviewing the 1987 list of stock it looks like in addition the following coaches are missing from the PR 1379- sequence and may be the ones converted to TL brakes coaches 1941-8 c.1984. 1381, 1382, 1392, 1393, 1397, 1412, 1414 I presume that 1380 and 1408 were still AM 14 & AM 15 (c 1971) or had they been retired? I don't see them listed in 1987 but I seem to be short of a brake coache above. Maybe one from the 1420 series? 1419 which had been Snack 2423 until c 1984? was back in the regular PR fleet
  14. Unfortunately, I haven't been on here probably in months now and just picked up on this fortuitously. What did Phil do? A heat shrink wrap for the pallets or something, or a decal sheet to be applied to them i guess. I'll look into it.Just came on the site to ask a Park Royal question
  15. I think you might be ok for any silver green or black except maybe black with yellow panel
  16. All Catholic steamers are grey livery but all Protestants are B)@()< ( thank God we’ve moved on from all that, like seriously )
  17. Got an email but it didn’t say anything about refunding any remaining balances
  18. The ones that go up front are only semi conductors I hope that Accurascale will have some sound coders available so that you can upgrade
  19. Handy to get everything in one order at a one stop shop, but many thanks for that. I will look into it. I thought Acura scale had sound chips for the Deltic and other locomotive offerings so I assumed it might be one for this too.
  20. I decided to purchase one of these (gone to the Dark Side, I know) but it was the last one and available as DCC ready only, not sound fitted. Can I purchase a IRM Class 92 Loksound to run it with sound on DCC?
  21. Little beauty! Looks fantastic and sooooo impressive in O gauge
  22. So the printing is incorrect, not the wagons. I'm in the same boat with some duplicates as yet unnumbered. Unfortunately I think I only have the one Pack A @murphaph
  23. You'll get the most interest from @WRENNEIRE, if you're selling these oddities
