The station reminds me of just outside Newcastle West heading for Castleisland. In the old days, just as you got over the long drive to the top of the hill driving towards Castleisland the station was in the cutting to your right hand side. -
The late Alec Phillips former member of the MRSI passed away in the 1980’s. Back then Alec would you showed/explain to you on how to do the conversion but unfortunately it was never documented. Alec’s pride & joy was his scratch built GNRi 4-4-0 accompanied him on his heavenly journey.

A “ Baby Boomer” @ £10 speaker available from You Choos in the UK . Sound decoder from Murphy Models 121 567 or 645 depending on which 141 or 181 loco . You will have to trim inside the bonnet /chassis and chamfer the speaker top edges to fit inside the bonnet I have installed this combination in over 30 Murphy Models 142/181’s to date . Take your time installing and enjoy the sounds .

DCC Controller Recommendations - Newcomer
Joe Keegan replied to Keano30's topic in Irish Model Layouts
Hi Diarmuid I would suggest that you look at the NCE Powercab which is easy to to use , is expandable or the Roco Z21 which is expandable and you can use your smart phone/ wired controller / wireless controller. Joe -

Hi You need to get the Murphy Models specific 121 non sound decoder for your 121 . This decoder is set up specific for 121 only and will give all the required functions that are required for the 121 . Unless you have DCC knowledge of Mapping functions using the Lok programming / Decoder Pro with a Sprogg then I would suggest that you spend the extra euros , buy the specific decoder and enjoy your Murphy's 121 . You can use your Lok Pilot decoders on your Murphy Models 181. Enjoy
