  1. Very nice. The layout is really coming together.
  2. I'm pretty sure it's brass and white metal Des. I might buy one, but I will have to declare bankruptcy with the amount of things I'm buying up, Ballast wagons, 121s, the list goes on and on..
  3. John, when you go to post there is three options(pick a card) (A) Post quick reply (B) Go advanced and © cancel. Click on go advanced. This allows you to see what your post would look like before you post it. Very handy if your trying to make sure you get those pints.. I mean pics, the right way up.
  4. John you got the majority the right way up, so 3 pints it will have to be. The second posts images aren't working at all though
  5. I think many of the trams are going to transport museums...the horses are going to good homes too
  6. That looks amazing:) what sort of locos have you got there. I see woolies, but I saw an 0-6-0 and maybe even a 4-4-0. I will follow this layout with interest..
  7. Started this a week ago, from a Hornby King Arthur...no.402. Might put her in the CIE green. The chassis were very poor, so I will give her a more modern one.
  8. Mullingar signal cabin, I believe, is still connected to the points in the yard, for RPSI use, storage of maintanance trains etc.
  9. John, when Meadbh was repainted on inchicore in the early 60s, she was not given a snail, I wonder why. Also, on some of the other green locos, the snails seem to have disappeared, probably under a layer of filth!
  10. From the mikemorant collection
  11. That's a great pic Bosko. Looks like she is paired with a tender from one of her green sisters
  12. Although the main lines at Glanmire road are controlled at Connolly, I think the remaining points in the yard are controlled by the signal box.
  13. Plaster it with rivets! Put on a smokebox door handle: Des might supply you with one. Livery wise: GSR/CIE overall grey or CIE green(to a few). In the late 50s near the end of steam some were given grey BUT with a black smokebox. I think one was given black, with cherry red lining, although that livery looked very British to me. One or two were given a plain black Livery. Hope this helps!
  14. Unloaded at the north wall?
  15. Looks like it'll be a busy year for him..
  16. Ok.. How bout.. Ballaghadereen?
  17. What sort of space do you have John?
  18. Poetic license? That's how Kedleston is a large city somewhere in Wicklow or Waterford, which connects up to the mainline. Kenmare could last until 1966:)
  19. The upside down pics here seem to be "attached images" which only happens for me if I try to upload pics, then it doesn't work, so I stop uploading it. Even if I get the photos up, or don't upload them at all this happens. As John has said these are often upside down or even sideways. Seems to often happen with iPads or iPhones
  20. Like the look of Westport Quay, John. What era are you planning on? Knowing your style I would say late 50s early 60s Maybe add a headshunt for better shunting?
  21. Ordered mine just in time then!
  22. And with that, Broithe had seized his opportunity,No fatwas could be issued against him, even from the powerful Grey militia and the 800 mafia, as John was the head of that sort of thing, and he could obtain all knowledge of any livery variation. And yes I'm putting on the kettle. Barry's or Lyons? And yes John I have the digestives.
  23. Wonder if there was ever any "strange happenings" on 666? Some nicknames could definitely be left in the shadows... 'Twas a different time, I suppose
  24. They do make the 141/181s look very small. You wouldn't think the cab was much larger if you were just looking at it.
