  1. I wonder if the P/P stencilled on the inside of the C class cab below B224 means Push/Pull...........or does it means something else altogether? And keep posting the photos, JB!
  2. Is there a chance the image is a little stretched?
  3. It's going to be an amazing layout when it's done. Brilliant work so far.. What are the overall dimensions of the layout?
  4. I wonder if the length/weight of the liners was increased, would it mean the end of 071's on such work, or are they capable of more?
  5. I don't actually know who has them listed on eBay, but I recognised them as soon as I saw them, because they are on eBay for a long time now....
  6. I just had a quick look through the first album, Irish diesel locos and railcars... I notice that a number of photos from that album are currently for sale on eBay.....
  7. At least 3 people seem to know already, just from the clue .... Read the forum
  8. I spotted it! About 3 days ago.....
  9. He's modelling N gauge.....
  10. So, it would mean Oxford would have to produce the Gen van from scratch, which might be a stumbling block....
  11. Would the Irish Gen van simply be a repaint of the UK version, or are there differences in the two prototypes?
  12. Please do.... And pass on our praise of this book
  13. For you, or anyone else who missed the boat.... http://www.themodelshop.ie/model-railways/irish-railways/irish-rolling-stock/irish-railway-models-ballast-wagons-3-pk-pre-order.html
  14. It was almost the norm back then for everyone to buy each loco as soon as it was released. It's not all that long ago, but the reality is there was very little else available at the time for the Irish modeller to spend his cash on, and certainly not in RTR form, to the standard of the baby GMs. In the intervening years, the amount of quality RTR Irish outline stock that has become available is staggering, meaning the average modeller or collector couldn't possibly afford to purchase every new release, and has to be more selective when it comes to spending his cash.
  15. That's great! Thanks.
  16. I ordered four packs when they first became available. I didn't pay for any postage on that order. However, I have just ordered two more packs now, on which I paid postage through parcel motel. I left a note on today's order, asking if you can send all six packs through parcel motel. Will this be alright? On another note, it's great to see that it's likely the whole run will be sold out even before production begins!
  17. I'll bet money it's an 071.....
  18. It's all good and well laughing now... but wait 'til she turns 16, and he'll be driving her around in one of these to fend off admirers...
  19. A likely possibility... As you say, they wouldn't have normally ran like that. Edit: Looking at it again, is that an 071 up front? Which would almost certainly point to a failed 121, as 071's never ran in multiple...
  20. They would have ran equal distances with the 121 leading and trailing. It seems obvious that if the 121 lead on the outward journey, it would have trailed on the return journey.... (maybe trailed isn't the right word, but you get the picture..)
  21. She'd turn a few heads if she landed in Ballina with the liner in that livery! Nice job on the re-spray!
  22. Fine job on the school bus!
  23. Absolutely. Only my opinion here, but I'd go so far as to say the fact that Silverfox produced the A class when they did probably pushed the A class well down on Murphy Models to do list.....
  24. Maybe the ballast wagons won't be your finest creation this year after all....
