  1. They are lovely coaches, and the LNWR livery in particular is a cracker, but even at £85 a coach from rails, they are pricey. Plus they are only part way right for the DN&GR boat train stock, which I believe was non-gangway stock. Will be interesting to see how they sell at the RRPanyway, but I doubt we will be picking them up from the bargains section of a UK box shifter anytime soon unfortunately
  2. They are was some discussion about the DN&GR ones that passed onto the GNr in the thread about the rapido Evolution coaches thread earlier this week.. I would guess the Bachmann coaches may be a better match than the Rapido ones but @leslie10646might no more as he mentioned the roof was wrong on the Rapido ones..

    Shop question

Those are a previous run from a few years back now.. We don’t restock a run, they are a one off. Instead it would be a re-run with new different running numbers/livery variations but we don’t currently have a rerun of PFA wagons announced
  4. Forgot to ask Paddy about 071s, but he does have a new announcement for us all.. Hopefully someone will share it on here soon
  5. Very well thank you.. But I had the benefit of already knowing, and a drop of whiskey before bed!
  6. Very atmospheric shots Noel, all that’s missing is the condensation fogging up the windows, with a few smiley faces drawn in it and a patch where someone has wiped with their sleeve to see what station they are at as the PA is indecipherable
  7. A few of my northern hauliers with the McCurdy being a recent arrival..
  8. Good Afternoon All, After the success of our last restock of Oxford Diecast a few weeks ago, we have decided to get some extra models into stock this time around including some favorites in Irish Liveries(Bus Eireann, Garda, McBurney, Woodside and Others) along with some plain dealer white models which are ideal for customs liveries and Code3s. These are now in stock on our website at https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/vehicles/availability_in-stock but be quick as we have only been able to get limited stock of a lot of the items!
  9. Found a pic, will ask if I can share it on here.. Looks like the 071 coupled up to the DVT to haul it back into Conolly, and would imagine it didn't stop anywhere en-route so would imagine they used the DVT for door controls
  10. Not sure if it is the time you were thinking of, but your comment seems to have jogged a memory so I checked over WhatsApp’s.. 11th November 2021, DD set failed at clongriffin quite late so must have been the 20:50 ex Connolly.. 071 on IWT duties in NW was borrowed to go and recover the set with passengers on board back to Connolly
  11. My pics, passing Cabra a few minutes later. 084 looked like @JasonBor @murphaphhad a go at weathering it!
  12. Not strictly an 071, but there was an Enterprise set recovered by a 111(think it was 8113) from Lisburn back to Belfast earlier this year or last year. Would imagine this was done as there wasn't a spare 201 in Belfast at the time.
  13. Nope, the stored locos are 201-205 and 210-214 all in orange with full yellow ends, 224 in intercity and 230 in enterprise
  14. There is a couple of their bigger brothers on the way to the coast guard over here in the coming months.. Although I think I will miss the S-92s, even if they do occasionally wake the baby heading south after taking off from the airport.. My sleep will be a bit better with the new AWs out of Weston
  15. Both are 8-645 engines, so would imagine it’s the same sound file used for both.. However some of the lighting functions may be different to suit the different locos, I don’t have either so don’t have a function card and I don’t think these are published on line anywhere, maybe someone on here can take a pic of them for you
  16. Agreed http://eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway Stations S/Sligo Quay/IrishRailwayStations.html#SligoQuay_20040708_006_CC_JA.jpg
  17. Yep looks like an AW139 alright, bit of an ironic reg for a rescue aircraft based in that part of the world…. The Dapol ECS boxes are good if you can get hands on, they date from before the crappy printing but must be about 8 years since they were released
  18. Hijacking your own thread, what kind of chopper was it? To keep things on course, here’s a nice new Blue CAI unit with ECS branding.. Blue CAI units seem to have started appearing on the XPO liner also, likely on lease to Samskip
  19. That roof(and the shed) is cracking.. The only input I have is that the slope looks a little steep, and the supports a touch on the long side.. I’m guessing you have done this for clearance reasons, but would it look better with slightly shorter supports and attached higher up on the shed wall(maybe at roof level)
  20. Can I point you in the direction of this thread, where @BosKonaydid conduct a survey.. The survey suggested about 45% would be interested in 21mm, however if you read the comments the general consensus is that most like the idea in theory but the large investment already made by a lot of modellers in OO models from Murphy’s, Bachmann, Dapol and others that weren’t readily convertible to 21mm would make such a change prohibitive.. Furthermore the lack of standardisation with a larger market(the other ones with 5ft 3in being less than ideal)like the U.K., meant less RTR stock could be easily resprayed to Irish prototypes(think Hornby jinty)

    Customs & VAT

You never fail to provide weird and quirky situations for us Dave! A new one for me, I wonder if they were applied in Heathrow(outside the EU) to be allowed into Spain.. Must check the tracking on your order out of curiosity but at least they got to you..
  22. Hi John, as @murphaphhelpfully said, best course is to contact our support team with your order number. For orders with products from multiple lines, our system will only fulfil the order once all the items are in stock and we have to manually intervene to split the orders upon receiving a request from the customer Regards Andrew
  23. It was loaded in Foynes and worked to Limerick either as a block train or attached to the empty Barytes heading back to Silvermines.. From Limerick it went forward in the Liner network to Mullingar and Longford.. It was for agricultural use, being used to manufacture animal feed in the mills in Edgeworthstown and Granard I think
  24. I might have a spare MM1508(in IE/IR) livery, is that one of the ones you are looking for?
