  1. Hi Dave, As it was me you were in contact with regarding this, I just want to clarify a few things here. Firstly, it should be pointed out that the reason you contacted us was not warranty-related. Regarding bodies, chassis and bogies, any fundamental issues involving these parts would have been detected within a short space of time after the locos first arrived, and if there were any issues the affected loco(s) would have been set aside and replaced with an equivalent from a reserve we had put in place (in the end this was not required and the reserve stock was released). I did also point out that we have supplies of most other parts available to cater for any warranty cases that arise. We don't offer these parts for sale at present as we have to ensure availability for warranty work for at least 12 months after the very last new A Class model is sold to the end user. One reseller was advertising availability as recently as January, so I'm sure you can appreciate why we need to conserve stocks for so long. However, from posts I've seen elsewhere, I believe the rebuilding of your loco is now substantially complete, so if you want to email me a list of the small parts still required, I'll ask our technician to check these stocks and we'll see if we can make some available for you.
  2. We're pleased to announce a new airdrop service for you, @DJ Dangerous...
  3. I seem to remember that @David Holman even purchased one of the locomotives... I think one of the layouts was exported to a museum in Norway?
  4. The running costs for a J15 would likely be prohibitive for a preserved line, too.
  5. It sounds like you're trying to access the old Irish Railway Modeller Forum (now closed and has no connection to this one), which was hosted on a service called Yuku, which has now become Tapatalk.
  6. You're not imagining it. Irish Shell had a small Hibberd locomotive used to shunt their sidings off Alexandra Road. It's now preserved by the RPSI in Whitehead.
  7. A nice model of the Timoleague & Courtmacsherry Light Railway's 'Argadeen'. I'm not sure how authentic the lined green livery is, though.
  8. From the ad: "For sake of clarity loco and carriages being sold together" A set of Murphy RPSI Mk2 coaches are also included.
  9. If a better place was available, then they'd be there.
  10. There is a link to make a PayPal donation via the following page on the DCDR website: https://www.downrail.co.uk/donatemenu/general/
  11. They're not being cut up. The truck is the same one used for recent stock transfers to Downpatrick and Maam Cross. My money is on these items being transferred to the latter.
  12. That's because it's a special edition packed in an exclusive presentation trailer...
  13. Hi folks, Can we leave the switchblades and knuckle-dusters at the front door and get the thread back on topic? Thanks!
  14. Quite a feat considering it went bust and was divided between CIE and the UTA in 1958. A fair share of the GNR's passenger services, including the 'Enterprise', were operated by AEC and BUT diesel railcar sets in its latter years.
  15. @Noel - schedules can be found here https://accurascale.co.uk/pages/project-status Per the latest update provided via the mailing list and on social media, the Deltics will arrive at our warehouse during the coming week. Such questions would be better asked in the section linked to below rather than in the CIE magnesite wagon thread, though: https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/forum/25-british-outline-modelling/
  16. You should see the hole in the floor after that drop test...
  17. In fairness, @Noel, we've explained to you more than once the reasoning why it's not possible to lower the NEM pockets on this stock. At this stage I'm not sure if you've simply forgotten or just ignoring what we've told you...
  18. There was one in Limerick as late as 2014 but it was scrapped along with some other long-withdrawn wagons when the works and station areas were redeveloped in recent years.
  19. IE have been running a recruitment drive for apprentices over the last while: https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/about-us/company-information/career-opportunities-at-iarnrod-eireann/apprenticeship-programme (Incidentally, the closing date for applications is today...)
  20. But as a pre-existing unit, if converted it would be covered by grandfather rights...
  21. B233 and B234 were Maybach-engined C Class locos, not A Class. Very interesting locos and the only Metro-Vicks to ever work in multiple while in service (C231 has since worked in multiple with 146 in preservation at Downpatrick).
  22. I just happen to have this in my collection - from later CIE years so it doesn't include the turnouts for the shed or the cattle bank, but may be of use for the arrangement of signals: I walk by the goods shed in Moate a few times a week and I keep meaning to measure it for my own purposes, but haven't got around to doing it yet.
  23. No problem! Yes, those windows were found elsewhere, and are still evident on the goods shed in Longford, which was a larger MGWR type: https://www.google.ie/maps/@53.7238677,-7.7965482,3a,15y,260.16h,86.24t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUw00hAS_CLgu4dktQG57-g!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
  24. There were larger sheds built from cut stone, not strictly standardised but there were many similarites between them. The sheds at Dromod and Multyfarnham, for example... Dromod: https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/30818013/dromod-railway-station-clooncolry-dromod-county-leitrim Multyfarnham: https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/15304024/railway-house-rathganny-multyfarnham-westmeath
