Ok What do you want. Tell us. Be blunt. Be honest. Be frank. What do you want that is good enough. All you seem to do here is whinge and complain so why is this one any different. Maybe this interest is not for you as clearly it upsets you. 10 years ago even all you had was the vintage MIR resin kits for these and other stuff, people used to say 'wouldn't it be great if someone made them ready to run and affordable' - that is now here from an Irish company that is rapidly growing in terms of good reputation and presence and you still moan. Good oul Ireland - a nation of whingers, begrudgers and backstabbers. Thankfully in the minority.

For this I'm going to go with Black and Tan onwards. I've also added MK2A/Mk3 stock as 121's are 'Suitable for hauling Air Braked Trains' Never seen a pair of 121's on the Taras either, mainly as a pair were too long for the traverser at Alexandra Road. Waiting for a photo if it did happen. Real 'badly stuck' stuff Livery Key - there was no 'Supertrain with IR Logo' for the 121's unless I can be photographically proved wrong..... No, they were all about bare minimum spending initially. Then again there was never any overnight work so no need for the sleeper cabs No Dump Truck??

Its 1.72, they also do the Mercedes NG, Foden Haulmaster, DAF 2800 and Ford Transcontinental http://www.knightwing.co.uk/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?next=0&cart_id=1619513763.318&product=OO-HO_Road_Transport_Kits they are the ex KeilKraft range, dont put them near any 1/76.2 items and they are ok Also the Road Transport Images range of resin/whitemetal OO scale kits, a very comprehensive range, but some of them could be better lookswise. Also the ERF EC they do, rare but not impossible back then

Have ordered several times, received quickly and for the latest one post Brexit, no extra charges

Yes, Irish Cement was heavily pushed as a brand from the mid 80's onwards so it definitely would have featured as the Bubbles were overhauled instead of the 'CIE Bulk Cement' branding, even when the Bubbles were at the end of their lives there was at least one with CIE Bulk Cement branding under the caked on cement Supertrain with IR is an interim livery, from 1987 there was a push to get rid of the 'Broken Circle' logo as quickly as possible (on passenger trains and stations at least), even though there are still signs in certain places with the CIE logo today. Still plenty of freight then, so more Locos were needed instead of being set aside for new paint The IR logo lasted a relatively short 7 years, 1987-1994, as the company fancied a rebrand with the massive investment which brought the 201's,2600 railcars and lots of infrastructure renewal and upgrades, hence the IE Fork logo

They also were used on the Enterprise then too, right up until the early 90's. Frequently heard their distinctive roar in the distance as they headed through Portmarnock

Never said 'Full IR' Supertrain with IR logos (IRM 007/056) was an interim livery, best worn by 047, but also by 141/181's, 156 wearing it the longest. 047 was a special loco, never broke down, so never repainted... IR - Irish Rail (IRM 017, 036, 048 and 054) is the fully lined version from 1987 onwards following the breakup of CIE into business sector's. Was never referred to as 'tippex' livery either back then. Not every loco had the dayglo panels either, they lost effectiveness quickly when they got dirty Re Ammonia, Supertrain, Supertrain with IR logos and IR. Ammonia started in 1978

Need photographic proof ,they were not common on passenger work in their final year.

I'd almost say anything IE Branded is too new, IE logo came in just as the A's were finishing up, so no IE MK2D's or the MK2A's either which were air braked only

Well, look at the equivalents from Hornby and Lima at the time, they were not much better. Makes you appreciate everything available now that little bit more. Only the likes of Fleischmann and Roco was of a high level then, and a price to match -
Proper layout this, its Irish equivalent (BR Sectorisation 1987-1995) mainline layout should eventually be seen when this current period of mass hysteria is over

They were both cut up around a decade ago, but they would have served little to no use being preserved. There were intentions to preserve one statically in Inchicore Works, but this was around the time the works was becoming a maintenance facility rather than the Museum/Scrapyard it once was, along with the 'Interconnector' intentions so little came of it. As said previously 1996 was the last time one was in steam Also road cranes have a lot more capacity and availability now than even 30 years ago, never mind 70. The ingenuity of the breakdown crews was far more impressive than the machinery they had available
