    Roco or the Kato/Hobbytrain are ideal. Both need a little cosmetic surgery to resemble the Irish one. The HO difference is not a big one, given the size of the prototype and the Irish loading gauge etc

    Perfectly summarised, its interest and population more than anything else. The MRSI's Loughrea 21mm layout is stored idle given the lack of interest in it. Most members are happy to run their Irish stock on 16.5mm track. Not everyone feels to the need to run to an authentic gauge and this needs to be remembered too. Code 75/82 track and correct sleeper spacing makes a big difference to set-track also

    If you build them properly and braced etc to avoid sagging either size is good Regarding height, I'm a great believer in having them at 'eye level', but being 6'4 its not something I often get to experience. The closer to eye level the better as you don't look at real trains from a helicopter or cherry picker....

    Was an old Laminate Brake coach, modified with a flat roof to make it more suitable to work on top of. The Pantograph was raised to earth the overhead wires. Now scrapped as detailed above, all overhead line maintenance work done with road/rail trucks that can be seen behind Connolly Station

    Its the risk you take with ebay. For every person who got a bargain there is someone who recorded a loss. Same way there are always people who match 99p opening bids and dont bid any more even if the item sells for £50 or more. Ebay wont give the value of an item, only what someone is willing to pay, whether its a high or low price

    No point using 112's given they have the later 00's style headlights and the IE windows. Best option is 111, 8113 or 080,073 or 086 and some paint
