I've never seen a pic of a Murphy Bros open actually in use, just a builder's photo.
I imagine they had a short Murphys branded life, probably sold to the GSR or CIE to become yet another anonymous looking grey, filth covered wagon.
I have seen something similar before and was told it was attached to a horse drawn vehicle belonging to one of the landed gentry. A sort of forerunner of a vehicle registration plate.
The Getty images photo is captioned incorrectly and picked up by whoever edited the piece.
Not the author as I'm sure he'd spot that straight away!

Got a railcar set from them, bypassed customs, got them brought in as hand luggage.

No-one seems give out about how much it costs to build a road (or Greenway!) in this country.
