  1. I went today, but the car-parking was utter madness - if anybody does go in future years, then feel free to ask for advice. There were people getting stuck on the way in. I'll pop some pictures up later, but I did pick up a copy of this, with lots of interesting pictures in. ..and a 3L scalpel handle.
  2. Road are empty, could be Mayo - but, it looks a bit dry.
  3. I do hope so. The 216 below the side window doesn't look quite level to me.
  4. An Antonov 40 would cope better with a boggy runway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_A-40
  5. Ah, the highly sought-after Laois registration. That most inland of counties, the only county that does not border another county that has a coastline.
  6. Even I have just managed to do it - even if it is for tomorrow and Sunday...
  7. Ah, but these people often don't really understand what's going on - if somebody was just to introduce them to that gloriously definitive documentary series Father Ted, they might be steered in the right direction...?
  8. Mmm, not my favourite scheme...
  9. Is that the finished article?
  10. It's bloody upside-down again!
  11. Well done. Pancakes? Better get organised.
  12. The Bridge on the River Kwai is not the only bridge that could cause you problems in Thailand. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-35491852
  13. Or a definitive religious documentary, with Bhuddist convert, Father Jack Hacket, shouting "Phuket" at regular intervals?
  14. They could do a Hiberno-Thai remake of The Kwai-et Man.....
  15. I wonder if they had a little steam engine called Siambo?
  16. You would need to treat the oranges like ballast, and glue them in place for safe running.
  17. There appears to be no yellow line.
  18. "Amazing" is barely an adequate word - this would be a difficult feature to include.
  19. Can I suggest that, if anybody is interested in modelling the railways of Thailand, that they have a good selection of excuses ready for the results that searching for 'Thai models' will bring up..?
  20. Well deserved.
  21. Excellent. I look forward to a Midlands excursion one day...
  22. You can do it with one DC controller, by isolating sections of track, so that you can select which engine you are controlling at the time. Or, if you are DCC, then you have no problem.
  23. This is next weekend, if you're passing by. Allegedly the biggest show in the Midlands, after Warley, and a lot more civilised. If you do go, beware of the boggy car-parking. It was quite an issue a few years ago. I was up there a couple weeks ago and it was fairly soft then. Also check for motorway roadworks. Not too much of an issue at weekends, but the odd slip-road closure has occurred, though mostly at night. And avoid driving through Stafford itself - it's a minefield. The A34 to the south of the town, in particular, is virtually impassable.
  24. Tie them to lampposts on Salthill Prom during the next big storm.
  25. New rolling stock on view at the Westport celebrations.
