I was at the Bangor show today,great to meet the boys.
Picked up my Ballast wagons, they are amazing,the detail is unbeatable.
Well done to all four of you and we can all look forward to many more great models.=D=D=D
This is looking great.I like the orange band with the step.
If you paint the small round windows with satin black or satin varnish
it would look more like glazing.
PLASSER TAMPER No 5 UPDATE
A few more pic's of the plasser tamper.
I have put on all the cab sides,floors,side grills and cut out 25 windows.
Now all the fine details need to be added. Can't wait to get some paint on it.
There is a lot to do to this kit to ring it up to a good standard.
I got the brass etch and only used the round fan grill. I'm still trying to glaze it
and the motor i got with it was so bad, i put in a Black Beetle which runs very well.
Good luck, it will be nice when finished i'm sure.

This is what i have been working on over the past year.
it is starting to look like something at last.
The motor & bogies are from Hollywood foundry in Australia.
Bachmann buffers.
It is based on the NIR No5 and dimension are not all accurate and
some are judged by eye.
It's great to see this project reaching the finish line. Thank's for sticking your necks out
and we are all very grateful for your efforts and producing a top class model.
This will be a learning curve that will help with all future projects.
That looks super. Are the seats white? or is it just the light.
When i sprayed a coach the paint bled under the tape, i think because it
was enamel paint mixed with thinners, so the acrylic may work better.
