  1. There is a lot to do to this kit to ring it up to a good standard. I got the brass etch and only used the round fan grill. I'm still trying to glaze it and the motor i got with it was so bad, i put in a Black Beetle which runs very well. Good luck, it will be nice when finished i'm sure.
  2. The moulds look good. Bubbles are always a problem and getting the mix ratio right. I am using resin 3 years old and it still works.

    CIE Brakevan.

Thanks. This was posted 4 years ago, Time flies. Now that the ballast wagons are on their way i will need to build another ploughvan.
  4. Sad to see the 80 Class being scrapped. Are any of these going to be kept?
  5. Love the detail. What colour will it be?
  6. That's a great job,looks very well. What's the running like?
  7. The bogie frame are made from plastic, a fiddly job. The motor and gears are a bit noisy but when they get run in a bit they might improve.
  8. PLASSER TAMPER MACHINE. This is what i have been working on over the past year. it is starting to look like something at last. The motor & bogies are from Hollywood foundry in Australia. Bachmann buffers. It is based on the NIR No5 and dimension are not all accurate and some are judged by eye.
  9. It's great to see this project reaching the finish line. Thank's for sticking your necks out and we are all very grateful for your efforts and producing a top class model. This will be a learning curve that will help with all future projects.
  10. Very neat, your getting good at this.
  11. Lovely work, i like the engine detail. The maroon & grey looks great. Where do you get the NR logo?
  12. I'll be there, great news. what proof of purchase do you need?
  13. That looks super. Are the seats white? or is it just the light. When i sprayed a coach the paint bled under the tape, i think because it was enamel paint mixed with thinners, so the acrylic may work better.
  14. I know, i have been tempted to stop myself.
  15. Looks very neat, well done. When i use masking tape there is always some paint gets under the tape.
  16. I seen two on Monday sitting at York Road Depot side by side. They do seem to get used on a regular basis.
  17. This is going to be very good. The buildings look great.
  18. Looks great. I must get up there soon. Super pic's, thanks.
  19. Lovely pic's, nice viewpoint. I like the railcar.
  20. Did the steam drivers change over to driving diesel loco's? It must have made a big difference to their workload.
  21. Love the weathering, it does turn a plastic model into something more real. You will learn as you do more. BTW i believe that you can't mix thinners with acrylic paint, just use water. Also with acrylic wash the airbrush with warm water.
  22. Beautiful work. Can i ask what colour of blue did you use? it looks so good.
  23. Yes it is so good and realistic.
