There is a man out west here who lives in a railway coach, couldn’t tell you where it came from though ill buy those CMDR coaches off the dungarvan greenway, and sink money into em like there is no tommorow 8 hours ago, DJ Dangerous said: I think that looks lovely in the CIE green - would love to see a whole rake of them like that. I know CIE are against putting any passenger stock in orangeagain as that associates with the “old” image green however….well that’s a whole other story Edited August 12, 2022 by Westcorkrailway 1

Niles Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 (edited) The perfect compromise (it was taken on a Nokia C3-01 so excuse the quality, an alleged 'hybrid' smart/normal phone, remember them?) 8 hours ago, DJ Dangerous said: I think that looks lovely in the CIE green - would love to see a whole rake of them like that. I agree, I like to think in another universe there's one going around like that on charter work... Edited August 12, 2022 by Niles 1 1

Broithe Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 And there were camping coaches at one time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camping_coach 1
roxy_guy10 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 It looks rather splendid in that retro green. Imagine a 201 in a retro silver livery pulling a rake of them. 1 2

Rush and Lusk Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Looks really attractive in that retro green livery - another "station" for a bite to eat for anyone even vaguely interested in trains - I wish the new owner well. 2
228RiverOwenboy Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Does anyone know where it's currently located? Or would anybody have a photo of it's current resting place? I can't find anything about 7161, yet some have told me that it's already been moved and situated at Newcastle West on static display.
