Do they cost twice as much if you do it that way Noel? 🙈

:) No Philip, they cost about a third because they work for 3 times longer, never crash and don't slow with age. More productive. :) . . . and they don't squeak

Hi everyone,

In the run up to Christmas and to respond to the heavy ESB and heating bills hitting us all we have left the blue Taras on offer for a little while longer. So, if that special someone wants to pick you up something IRM related for Christmas... https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines/availability_in-stock?

Cheers!

Fran

That's amazing news for anybody who missed out. Gorgeous little wagons!

Thoroughly agree. It seems to be another one of those colours that looks much better in real life than photographed. I am glad I grabbed a pair. I don't need Taras per se on my intended layout but they don't hurt so I decided to pick up some blue ones for a bit of variety and they are well worth getting.

I wonder if we'll see any IRM or Accurascale madness this weekend...

The big question is:

Accurascale or accurascale?

Do you mean ACC-ura-scale versus a-CURE -a-scale? I had assumed the company was named for the accuracy of its models versus being a CURE for model manufacturing. The railway magazine hosts seem to favor the latter pronunciation 🤷‍♂️

I actually meant the capitalization of the initial A; A or a?

The pronounciation is a dodgy one. I put the emphasis on the "u" but some put the emphasis on the first "a" as in "Accurate"...

Big Black Friday deals at both Accurascale and Hatton's this weekend!
