This is my second attempt at my first layout, the original one had to be dismantled and moved so I now have a nice size room approx 4m x 2.5, I just finished the track beds, I used a grey yoga mat 3mm thick and it works fine, next job is wiring the track sections, another job I'm looking forward to.

Where did you find those?

Hatton's:

Would have preferred buying from IRM or Marks Models but it wasn't available from either:

http://www.marksmodels.com/?pid=44397

Hatton's also have the red one in stock, and both blue and brown versions available to pre-order.

Hi Denis, just wondering where you got the name for your layout? Are you a fan of Steven King,s son, Joe Hill ( also a horror writer) or did the name come from some other source.?

Nope not a fan, it is a mix of memories for me, my dad worked on the railway and his name was Joe, I spent my childhood holidays in a small village with my grandmother and it was called Donohill, so a very unimaginative mix of the two 🤭

Yes, I remember you mentioning him in a post you called "nostalgia". Had his certificate and all, as a signalman. I,d say you are not a bit proud of him 😀

I'm also going to change the name of the layout, Joehill is too Anglo for my stock so I thought I would use the way a lot of our towns and villages are named, so cnoc seosamh might be interpreted as Knockseo, so I will call it Knockseo Junction.

Time to get stuck in again now that winter is on the horizon

Yes, if only our Winters were longer, and not only eleven and a half months . Think of what we could get done if not for the pesky gardens.😀. Good  to see you back at it Denis

I know I am being optimistic Derek but you are probably right about your version of the season 😅
