There's another green A42 on eBay, presently cheaper than the one I bought, but DC only:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/277355536261

Price is good at present but may bid upwards in due course. I've got my green A already now so fill your boots @DJ Dangerous or anyone else who fancies one...

Wow, that is expensive!

£165 GBP plus £21 GBP postage, so €215 Euro in real money, plus import tax, plus duty, plus €30 to €70 in handlng fees…

And five days still to go!

😂😂😂😂😂

Nah, you’re alright!

Ah, OK, damn Brexit! The duties and fees make such a difference. To me this one looks cheap. Maybe I should buy another...

I mean, I wouldn’t badger into buying another unless you have your heart sett on it…

Handling fees up in Ireland are a lot cheaper than down here, but their taxes are a lot higher, so it probably works out just as expensive up there.

Interesting.

The one I got recently cost £250.28 (Buy It Now) and was up for sale for a week before I bought it. My seller seemed to be a private individual without much of a history on eBay (only a few bits of feedback) so it might have looked risky, but I asked some questions and came to the conclusion they were legit. It was sold as DCC sound fitted, but it wasn't (it did have a plain DCC chip), and when I found this I asked for (and got) a £50 refund. I know the sound chip costs more than that, but I reckoned about £200 was a fair price.

We'll soon see what others think is a fair price for a green one - it's up to £215 already.

Also various wagons but the wagon prices are steep in comparison.

I'm sorry. I'll just stop posting ebay links then, if I'm going to get ridiculed each time. I thought they might be useful to someone.

You're not comparing apples with apples. £195 today is a fair price compared to Euro 190 when new. Shipping and import duties are a separate matter which depends on where you live.

For me, and for many other forum members who live in GB, it would cost a lot more to travel to Bray to buy them at whatever Wrenneire's price is.

I’m most grateful to those who post links for scarce Irish items. It has scored me a few 36.75mm locos. Including this SG2 - it’s on the workbench since last night for minor work - which arrived as a restoration project and is absolutely delightful. Other stuff I have passed on as the duty etc works against me as a GB resident. So Paul, and those like you, please don’t stop!

You’re wasting your time posting the links anyway.

I’ve been posting eBay finds for yonks, here, and nobody gives a damn, never a thank you or anything.

You’re posting irrelevant pricing. Post the Euro prices and mention the taxes, otherwise you are misleading Irish based buyers of Irish outline, who, presumably, form the bulk of the buying contingent.

Keep posting irrelevant stuff and I’ll keep laughing.

€325 EURO is not a fair price! Jaysus. I posted two surplus A’s up to Dublin, paying a fortune for postage from Canarias, and import taxes on arrival, and couldn’t even sell them at €250 each to cover my costs, never mind €270 each to have made it worth my while.

Even though I like my buses, I’m not fully up to speed on this one;

CMNL UKBUS 6005, a Dennis Enviro 400 in Stagecoach Manchester plain white, for €220 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/146891158698

From the seller’s description:

“UKBUS6005 - Stagecoach Manchester Plain white

Hi I’m selling my mega mega rare Northcord Dennis Enviro 400 model in plain white livery. Model is in very good condition and comes complete with outer box.

It is believed to be a limited edition of only 22 produced for GB models in Flixton. It is also advertised as GB BUS 0001. There are a number of differences to the recently released UKBUS6201, such as rear vents, no smoking decals on windows and different rear lights.

There isn’t a certificate present “

Reading this it’s not that puzzling why nobody gives a d….. or says thanks.

Please keep posting Narrow Gauge for me.

And I'm UK Mainland so prices are the opposite way round.

And many thanks for your efforts.

Because I post the Euro prices?

Oh… Kay…

Moving on…

MIR 071 kit for €87 plus postage and import taxes. The title says 071 Class on the main eBay page, then changed to 80 Class when viewing the listing, but it looks like an 071 in the photos:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/286848025940

The seller does mention that they’re not sure if it’s complete.

Bachmann Class N / Woolwich / Mogul in CIE green for €162 plus postage and import fees:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/205784653411

That does look rather nice!
