How are they doing that then

Coach A - food servery in 1st class.

Upgraded to 1st to have quiet, breakfast and a doze.

Standard class packed, 1st only a few.

BUT - there is a table of four LOUD “shopping women”. Near Portadown, and not one of them has shut up for a millisecond.

And they’re right next to me.

Despite being hard of hearing, I hear every syllable of non stop babble…….

My wife had a pleasant trip to Belfast and back yesterday on the Enterprise. She thought it was right up there with the Cork route CAF mk4 coaches for comfort. Up on the 0930 returned on the 1805. Great comfy service. Thankfully Dublin quiet last night on return, as a certain element had crawled back under their rocks.

NIR CAF, by the look of it - so no first class, and no standard; only cattle class.

Last time I saw a 3K passing by, there were people standing in every carriage…

Due to a train fault 16:05 Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly is being delayed at Lanyon Place and is now expected to be 40 minutes late. Will be formed of 3 coaches. First class not available. Catering is not available.

Another failure it seems 13:20 Ex Dublin failed in Belfast so a 3 car NIR CAF set will work the 16:05 Ex Belfast and 19:00 Ex Dublin.

Saw zebra 231 + 9002 on today; 208 + 9003 yesterday.

208 was with 9001 today. She replaced 227 who had brought the service in from Belfast. 227 will be sent to Inchicore as she's having her bogies removed.
