Noel Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 We should have made our 'kingsbridge' layout 7mm scale. That building could have fitted in perfectly. Very nice. Quote

A4mallard Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 hmm 7mm, I'd need a hand digging out the foundations..... post pics later regards Bren ps Thanks Fran for straightening out the pics Quote
A4mallard Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Fran can you please fix these photos....... I started this 4 weeks ago, I'm basically pottering away on it. I'm just doing the main building for the moment but I have the plans for the buildings on St. John's rd west. The only thing slowing me down is materials because I like to make from waste card. Thanks for the comments Bren Quote

RedRich Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Wow Bren truly amazing. Heuston is one of the most impressive railway terminus buildings in the world and you are doing it justice. I love the star wars stuff also. The force is definitely with you my friend. Quote
A4mallard Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Hi RedRich, Thanks for the comments,I've wanted to build it for a while, it's more of an experiment but I do plan on finishing it. I've gone with a pre 1970's look, because they were the plans I got. The plan is to build a Millennium Falcon this year, hopefully. regards Bren Quote
josefstadt Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Stunning. I can almost see myself looking out of the second window from the right on the upstairs floor, which was part of the office where I was based in the late 80s to mid 90s. Quote
A4mallard Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Thanks again hun, Thats it for a while it's up to date, I will post more pics as it develops. Thanks for the comments Regards Bren Quote
BosKonay Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Incredible Bren! Is the plan a 30 foot Heuston behind it? Quote
Mike258747 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Painstaking work but the result is just amazing. Well done and thanks for posting. Quote

Weshty Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Oh my giddy aunt, I go away for a few days and come back to this. Stunning. Quality craftsmanship and at breakneck speed. Quote
A4mallard Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Westy, it's taken me 5 weeks:) i'm also working on a rotating layout and I had to build her a table, so I am a bit behind. Bren Quote
GSR 800 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) I'd hate to see you work at full pace! You would put us all to such shame that we wouldn't be able to out for a month! Looks absolutely fantastic, very realistic. I assume there will be a railway behind it?.. Edited May 9, 2016 by GSR 800 Quote
A4mallard Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Unfortunately I had to retire early,so my time is my own. I use the modelling to occupy me. The plan is to finish the station buildings and platforms, the steel work for the roof but no roof, at that stage I will have run out of room. It may look like i'm flying through it but i'm not, there's a lot to be done. This is a work in progress.I am very grateful for all your comments. Regards Bren Quote
