Tara junction.

The evening shift crew are busy servicing and fuelling locomotives at the MPD,

From the left we have spare locomotives-001,161+132,then 027,056 and 007 in the shed,084 and 123+122 outside the new fuelling point which has recently been fitted with LED lighting.

After an enjoyable week playing with the real trains….it was back to the junction tonight….

NIR 208 works a Belfast-Dublin Connolly service,

017 works a Sligo-Dublin Connolly service

152+132 works the Northwall-Sligo liner/cement

2751 works a Dublin Connolly-Longford service.

The sound of those yokes has never been heard by the majority of people, but I was one of the lucky ones.... and despite this, IRM have managed to capture it very accurately indeed. I remember the first time I heard it - it was 102, and she was only days in traffic. Compared to a usual A class (both Crossley and then-new GM variant), and endless AEC and BUT railcars at the time, or a 121 / 141 / 181 it was just so different. Well done to whoever created that sound again!

Superb,as always Noel, the Hunslet looks right at home,

also the lighting on the park royals is really subtle,  both great additions to a great layout.👍
