GNRi1959 Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Would anyone make a stab at the value of this model - I mean, if I were to sell to a local historical society, with all rolling stock and two OO Works locos? Don't post here but please PM. Edited November 28, 2019 by GNRi1959
airfixfan Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Suggest that the local Council or library might be interested in this superb model.
GNRi1959 Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 One potential buyer declined because they did not have the space to store it.
GNRi1959 Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 The local library are exhibing the model over the month of February, the 55th anniversary of closure of the GNRi at Omagh. They are currently sourcing a lockable glass display case from the various branches to secure it. 7
GNRi1959 Posted July 5, 2020 Author Posted July 5, 2020 (edited) Omagh Goods Yard has been purchased by Headhunters Museum, Enniskillen and will be in permanent display there from Tuesday of this coming week. The model will be displayed with a range of GN rolling stock. Edited July 5, 2020 by GNRi1959 9
Noel Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Congratulations and well done Tony. Persistence, vision and skill Paid off. 1
airfixfan Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Just a pity that the Western Library services with their HQ in Omagh could not find the money to keep the model of Omagh station in Omagh.
GNRi1959 Posted July 5, 2020 Author Posted July 5, 2020 The problem with Omagh library is that their exhibitions and displays run for a short period and are replaced throughout the year. Headhunters provide a permanent, safe home. This will kick-start my N-gauge(non-irish) layout plans. 1
