Small bit more done and the more bits that came in from Cornwall model boats enabled me to start the rigging. BTW did not get stopped for any customs so lucky again! The Main things are the splinter mats on the handrails and the gun platform supports. And the Mast has been glue in and the rigging started. -

Dirty ol yoke, Looks smashing all tooled up as well. I only made the Heller one years ago and did it in Spanish CS. Academy kits are fab and go together quite well too.

Curving them is the thing though especially from a flat sheet it can be difficult.

Pay tell how did you do the Corrugated roof? Is that Printed too?

Rails of Sheffield - a warning of absence of care.

Sad to see that happening, I fear for when the motors start packing up or the boards go in the babies and later products.....where will you be able to go. The Small Scale lads like MM, Rails, Hattons, Kernow now, KR etc are doing excellent models but spares will be a big issue later on. Hopefully I will be proved wrong. Nice to hear Rapido are looking after you, They are some lads in all fairness! -

Thanks Mate, Yep few white metal Figures to add in for sure! -
TBH I would not expect Irish Shops to Stock Buffers and detail parts but would be cool but I expect Just not the scope or lads out there that need that. Some Parkside stuff would be great and Just basic everyday items would be great. Brexit and the new VAT rules have really made a bollix of the trade now for ordinary folk and has added cost on big time.

A few Gratuitous shots in the sunshine to see what the weather was like that I put on yesterday. Few more bits done, The Lifeboat davits rigged and the Life boat sorted with grab ropes around the sides. The Gun Platform Davit also rigged and there is another Davit on the main deck Rigged. -
"limit their purchases to what's available in Irish model shops" There in lies the big issue, Popped into the LMS the other day very little paint, Ones I needed not there (Humbrol) Incomplete range of Humbrol Sprays (went to Halfords and dropped 40 notes) no Balsa wood, super Super glues, none of the KS brass I needed. Model Railway Shelves were sparse I could say. I said it here before there is a good opportunity to capture the Irish based UK buyers here with a properly stocked shop as it will get daft buying in small stuff from the UK.

Might be late to the Party on this one but what a Fab idea! check from 4.45 mins. Interesting Video too. Wonder so the A class has a disappearing Fran in it. Seriously good looking loco to.
-
They might be adding in the Freight cost to the invoice total as Vat would be paid on both these together.
-
Thanks for that, placed and order with Cornwall Model Boat a few days ago. They are after sending this now with Fed Ex. God Knows what I will get caught for a handling charge now, It won't be €3.50 that for sure. Ar$e.
