  1. man alive..
  2. Some Fab Cameos there during the film to take on board like the scrap on the loading bank, the Fertisler spreaders non the flats The 20ft container trans, The Derailments. I do think they BNT era was the more interesting even though I was not around for it. a After watching this I feel like ordering a rake a Beets off of PW!
  3. Hi Lads, Just come across this, some excellent footage, I've not seen much or any of this before so fair due to the IRRS for sticking this on Utube. Interesting to the background to getting all these super 8s onto digital, the work the chap has done is immense. @Noel you will be in your element here! You may even now try to get a rate of Mk.2 in primer green!
  4. I built a load of these if you want to put up a pic I should be able to help you out.
  5. That came up very nice Robert, Whites a pig to do too. Just notice the Dios and the Name tag, Very nice.
  6. Yes Address pal 100% record for Me and a lovely Post Mistress ensure I collect my parcels there! New Revenue import system coming into play this Monday . Lots of late nights recently. The amount of manual work and red tape is beyond belief and beyond the capabilities of the carriers bring in the stuff so full implantation has been pushed back till December, Hopefully longer.
  7. Hide all those 121's in Whisky bottles!
  8. Local model shops will be the winners here with these changes. Gone for me is buying 40 handrail stanchions a go for one shipment, I will have to consol everything now and make one large purchase to cut the post fees down to a min or I can customs clear my own stuff and avoid any charges which is probably what I will do. Say rails with the 121, Current cost €176.23 including post. Add in a 10 for processing then bang goes any savings per one loco order. You will be going local. Multiple buys you still save a few notes, A lot smaller though. Rails wont promise shipping all your oder in one go so I will take on the suggestion of Hattons drop box as DC advised.
  9. You want to get your stuff from Eur Ebay now, Some fellas are gonna be caught with this From 1 January 2021, eBay will be legally required to begin collecting and remitting VAT for UK imports. From that date, eBay will have to charge buyers the applicable VAT amount directly and remit this sum to the relevant authorities. Irish sellers trading with UK buyers and listing on the UK or any EU site will need to provide both gross prices as well as the applicable VAT rate used to calculate the gross price on all listings. If sellers do not specify gross prices and VAT rates, eBay will have to assume that the price provided is the net price, and will add VAT on top of the price displayed to buyers. We strongly urge sellers listing on eBay.co.uk or other European eBay sites to specify the applicable VAT rates on existing listings as soon as possible. All new listings should include a VAT rate. You will find the field for the VAT rate beside the price when you create or edit listings. What you need to know: - From 1 January 2021, eBay will start to collect and remit VAT for UK imports on all consignments with a value of up to £135. There will no longer be a VAT exemption for small consignments up to £15. - In cases where the seller is a non-UK business and the goods are already in the UK, eBay will collect and remit VAT for goods sold to consumers within the UK, regardless of their value. - Sellers should begin listing the applicable VAT rates on all their existing and new listings as soon as possible. - From 1 March 2021, eBay will make it mandatory to add the VAT rate on all UK and EU sites when listing items.
  10. Sorry lads, I know its out there but just spent the last 10 mins trying to locate it and I failed to confirm the next Batch due in are the B&T and the Supertrain liveries? After that then the Tippex?
  11. You did not read it then!! UK And USA only Dave.
  12. If you are doing the Grey one make sure to take all the printed markings off as the raised edges will show through the paint. Don't recall the S&B ones going that manky really. You could go a bit gentler!
  13. Some changes coming down the tracks, Those small items will now become a bit more expensive. https://addresspal.anpost.ie/how-it-works
  14. Small bit more done over the past while, Taking a bit of shape now! Cabin done and compass deck starting to take shape now.
  15. Yes it was nice to drive past over the crossing and glimpse the tracks, Massively overgrown though recently which was handy for the few bits of wildlife to seek refuge. Should of left the whole thing as a wild life greenway but that of course would not generate the so called millions this will to the local economies. We have enough placed in front of us to keep us occupied around the country.

Loads of small roads about the Country side to Pedal on. Spent 5 hours pedaling up the Vee and back last Friday, very enjoyable.
  17. Hi Lads FYI: Decembers Railways Illustrated Model Spot has a 5 pages on 121's Going to sit down with a cuppa now and have a read.
  18. Doubt it, They had too much lube on them in the first place, Ended up spreading onto the Boige frames, I keep my stuff upright now as much as poss to prevent oil seepage to other parts.
  19. There was a few of these books in a book stall in Georges Market last year, left em there too.
  20. Bit more work done over the past weeks. Some Short shot Bits that needs some brass pin a some rework. pretty Pleases the way the Wood went around the curves on the compass deck!
  21. My stuff will its coming from Rails Kid. Hence wondering if to cancel or not.
  22. Exactly why I will be having a purge over the next month to try and get rid of 100's plastic kits before the deadline. Most of the buyers are UK too so prudent to do so.
  23. Tks kid. Bit Touch n go so but the time the come into Ireland, Processed and get over to UK and back for Xmas in the Emerald Isle Just got sent piccies of the back log in some airport in China, its Mental overthere, Cant spot any MM boxes! Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport
  24. nah, you gonna pay an Post or a courier a nominal fee for clearance/ processing collecting VAT, They Aint gonna do it nothing so if you have saved a tennor say with Rails etc you are gonna lose that with the customs fee. Now if the box shifters sent the locos out as one job lot then one processing fee will be applied for the hole shipment so not too bad but the box shifters are not to bothered with checking to see if you have multiple orders is as this was the case with my 121 order with rails. They sent the 2 grey locos in two separate parcels and I got hit with two carriage costs. so if they do that for a order with 6 121s in then say 60 notes processing plus delivery cost for each one. where Seamus Graham when you need him!! Now this is a right balls too, Any small orders are gonna get hit too. From 1 January 2021 the existing VAT exemption for goods up to 22 € will disappear. In order to allow VAT to be levied, all imports into the EU will have to be declared at the border using an electronic customs declaration. Flipping disaster now for ordering any small bits n bobs that you might need to get from the UK. In the end I ended up ordering my IE ones from Marks. From what I have heard all import will be treated as EFTA jobs (ala Switzerland / Norwayu) so these will have processing fee on them for clearance.
