Noel still is stuck in the Triang there Rich! Some Cracking UK stuff right across the board these days. 1980's German stuff was classy, Weighty but came with a hefty price tag. Never could get over the little bumps in the middle of the sleeper though. I remember visiting a colleague of my fathers work In Ballincollig, He had a Marklin set up in his sons room. Used to love visiting as of course I would be ushered upstairs for the duration of the visit. All the collection was sold off as he pegged it in his late 40's, (Heavy Smooker) I got one loco from his wife for my efforts in 're oganising' the layout each time I visited!

Wow Mine just arrived a few mins ago, Close call, the missus out doing the messages. Smashing bit of kit when stuck behind a Loco. Tiny bottom part of the bogie axle cover was flying around in the box, took me a while to figure what that actually was until I saw the exploded view on the back of the leaflet included and a brake wheel broken off so must of had some knocks during transit. No have to get the glue out to fix and to have a play at lunchtime. Fair play top notch stuff IRM dudes.

When the high Spec Accurascale Bulleids start to come out then the big H might get a wobble or two!

Sweet, I'll look forward to the 3 hours Sams train version at a later stage.

Class 66 was the Hattons duplicate (lots of complaints with that one and the rocking motion whilst running, Rails to had problems with Terriers too), In all fairness they wade into the water and get burnt. They were giving out when Hornnby wanted to sell off the website directly too. I read that they were buying up other shops Baccy stock to flog on.
-
Fingers crossed they don't have a spaz attack with Mr Murphy. Spose The Terriers having a go at each other was one, The Rocket Coach was another, some other bloke mentioned something to do with Short Supplying the Duchess of Atholl 100 years Anniversary model (its only LMS anyway so dont know what the big deal is). the big lads want to hoover everything up it seems and there pre orders were not fulfilled. They only made 500 so spreading those models about was going to be thin anyway.

Looks like Bit of a Fanny attack! Below statement in email just came in, Not Dealing with the big H anymore. Man alive More drama with this railway lark then whats on TV. Well W1 duly re ordered from the big M in Ireland..

Just what I did not want to see opening my mails today! Tanks anyway, duly ordered.

Hi Folks, Kinda wanted a rest from Modelling due to many failures with painting and Family taking up a lot of my time but the big 50 hit the other week and the folks kindly bought me this as a pressie. The ol fella prefers giving something physical than cash. (would of been handy for A Class or 6!) Any way the yoke is big, Maybe too big but I'll give it a go. I need to plan this one carefully due to limited access with the narrow superstructure so that presents a fairly big challenge along with quite a bit extra to buy to get it over the line. For a start I've run some P38 car filler around the Bulwarks and these need to be sanded smooth at some stage when I can be bothered to go shopping for Sand Paper. Pictures below in the sitting room, no comments about the curtains please Dave. Cheers George

Hi Spudfan, I was gonna make that suggestion too after a couple of gawks of the piccys, the Grey version look very plastic with the Yellow Printed on. Time will tell I spose when you get one in the hand.

Lima ones are probably the Easiest to do, Glass comes out easy and the High window surrounds can be painted silver easily enough. The Hornby ones are a pain in the hole with the glazing breaking, I had to but Shawplan Mk.3 glazing which added to the cost big time for a few I did. I then purchased SSM Etched Stainless Steel Window surrounds to finish off. http://www.shawplan.com/extreme_coachandunit_Laserglaze_4mm.html http://www.studio-scale-models.com/Coaches.shtml Plus with the Shawplan you can leave the white protective cover on for the Jacks windows.

Quite. The Media Love banding about the phrase 'Millions' as if it was spare change.

Christ I have the Same problem. Nothing get past you kid! Whats on Ebay? I just did a tally 300 plastic kits so these gotta be culled now. I only have a few on the Bay. No space and no time and the old skill or perhaps it was luck is draining away from me. Rumor has it this ship kit has landed in the ol Lades house, 140cms length. A Certain lad hits the 50 this weekend . Que hangover on Sunday!

Heard there are quite a few Brunel Statues being made now in China to sell along the way, Larges hats too. He would be well chuffed to see the GWR hit all the way to the west.

Stephenson's Rocket Hornby Gauge OO
Georgeconna replied to murrayec's topic in British Outline Modelling
LOL, I'm sure although its will be stuffed and mounted it will pop out every now and then for a run! Just to let you know there is a 3rd class coach coming out too. It would be a nice addition to the scene! https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/l-mr-open-third-class-carriage-era-1.html -

Semaphore signalling super train era
Georgeconna replied to richrua's question in Questions & Answers
Des, Supplies pre wired tiny leds, a Tab too bright TBH so you would be better off with Fibre Optics and a bigger white LED to power the light under the board You should order one off him to see what what an give it a go. They are quite sexy looking when done if you can say that these days -
Semaphore signalling super train era
Georgeconna replied to richrua's question in Questions & Answers
You can motorise them with a Servo easily enough (I started A bracket signal some time back but its left in a box with my modelling mojo) When I get going again I might have a go at this as it is something different. Alternatively use a Dapol GWR signal and a SSM arm. Those Dapols are wooden post signals but that were used around the network too. Have a read thought this thread on RMWEB it will give you some pointers re animation. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/59687-semaphore-signals-4mm-scale-mainly/page/35/ cheers George -
I get mine dropped to work, works nice and simple, Just start to sweat when I have to remove them from car to secure location in the dead of night. Before I used to get away with, 'It's Just More Weathering Stuff love some chap dropped to me' LOL! I don't have any Grey 071's but have the ol black n Silver Jobbie so can just scrape an excuse there to get some.

Blimey, I have to wait till next month and have a think about these. 121 out of the blue from RPSI this month, not to mind the other day to day bits n bobs like beans of toast for the family. veritable Avalanche of stuff coming down the line. Question is do I really need these yokes, My ballast is glued down? If the yellow yokes on top would be available separate at some stage as I imagine they are interchangeable with the kegs and containers some people already have it would make more economic sense to the punters instead of having rakes and rakes of 42 flats. Just a thought. Can I ask how Many other Variants are there to do on the 42' Flat? cheers George.

Nice idea by the RPSI but I can't help but think another loco on top of the already heavy release forecast along with incoming rolling Stock is pretty crazy. Good news on being able to take a Credit Card too as this makes it much easier unlike the cravens release. Fingers crossed I get some Green Backs for the big 50 next month!
