  1. Yes it would Mick.
  2. Managed to slide away Sunday with a very slight Cider hangover and decided to tackle to fiddle yard, I only had 3 cobalts left and can get anymore for the time being so only one point is operational and I have yet to do the left side. My Baseboard planning was not that great as I have lost about a 10inches on the right side due to the curve starting mid board on the 'live' side and a brace underneath had to be removed to get the motors in. Lots of cussing. Next time i will do this aspect a wee bit better. When done I should get 6 Medium size trains in there, Most trains will be of 3 coaches this being a Secondary route. I can get 6 coaches where the 4-CEP is sitting. Hard ol work this railway Modelling lark is.
  3. My Canon got a dump in the River last week after a buddy capsized the indian Canoe with two kids on it, Dried out now and working thankfully! Weathering has started now with the base down, gonna be a lot of learning with how to do something on this size and have it looking good hoepfully like the real deal picture below and the lights were fitted yesterday.
  4. Hi Lads, My packet if goodies came so the rigging is 90% done, just need to do the rat lines and source a suitable Cargo hook. Still need to have some 1mm cable or the winch to arrive and some black a white rigging thread and a few other bits n bobs to set it off. Leds going in tonight in the cabin area Heres the status at of Last Saturday,
  5. mm, I do wonder about the sense of putting this on the outside of a box, Packing list normally goes on but not the Value. Most likely a thing for the impending brexit I reckon. Thats also why I get mine set to my work address and the fact the courier left the stuff outside my door unattended previously.
  6. Looks Great now let the trains loose!!!
  7. Hi Lads, I only came across these the other day and they arrived in the post today so I tested one on a 12V Battery straight and hey presto they do what it says on the Tin. Perfect. Wow not too over bright either I blew 4 GOW filament bulbs the other day, Bought 6V ones but I'd say they gave me 3V and they went pop on the 6V Supply so I decided to try the Leds with Resistors instead should have some fun sticking them into the lamps on the Puffer later as she is running off of 12V. No need for another power cell! I got them from the shop below. https://www.railwayscenics.com/electrical-and-electronics-lighting-and-leds-3mm-led-lights-3mm-cool-white-12v-water-clear-led-with-integrated-resistor-p-2183.html
  8. There early signals were shite apparently electronics wise so no surprise here with the tower.
  9. crikey there a bit expensive?
  10. Did you look into the Rail Options from China?, Works quite well too, We moving a fair bit in these days.
  11. Indeed 462 would be certainly nice. Maybe a Tie up with the RPSI such like some companies in the UK/ Canada who partnered with the NRM have done would benefit both parties too. Concentrate on the RPSI Steamers which would go nicely with the current Crop of motorised boxes.
  12. SSM Do a Stencil for CIE, He might have one for the Snail if you ask him?
  13. The Step up convertor arrived in the post today. Some types of these are handy as you can also step down so have a application for Model Railways too if you want to power lights off your 12V you just dial in the out put and hey presto (not this one though). Simple enough to use. you can see here the unit was set at 22V output, the little POT was then dialed with a screwdriver to the desired out put that I needed to 24V. Magic The joy was short lived as the flipping mister unit gave up the ghost 10mins later. 5 years old but 10 mins switched on. FFS. I hope to be able to get the mister part itself now so I don't have to junk the whole thing. You can see the mister unit taken apart in the 2nd last photo.
  14. Cheers Angus. I had hoped to bring to ol fella to Scotland for a trip on the Vic 32 but I'd say he would not be able. they do some free runs too apparently, I love to have a blast at stoking the boiler for a bit! I have to do it before I get too old. http://savethepuffer.co.uk/holidays/ I've heard about this Para Handy lad I must look into the books, I think there was a TV program too I believe. I'd Love to stick a Live Steam unit into it but 1000 bucks kicks that one to touch, should of studied hard in school Eh!
  15. Ah that Loco got me back into Railway Modelling after buy a set in the Old Beatties in Holborn in London whilst on Hols. I was blown away by the detail back then yet N gauge has come on leaps and bound. I don't admit that fact I bought an LMS Engine too lightly being in the totally wrong colour green! Fab work on the layout mate, I am blown away by all this automation stuff, Beyond my patience zone tbh.
  16. Not at all , this out there on the net anyhow, STG430 for the kit Mr Midlands. foggy smoke unit STG50, Speed controller, Motor, Receiver and Battery will be under €200 and I have banged out another €160 on rigging and lights. Not Cheap by by heck you have some amount of Model for the cash and you get to go out to play too and it is quite pleasing on Sunday am down the Atlantic pond with the other lads having Tea and biscuits and talking to the passers by admiring your handywork or thinking you bought it in Smyths Toyshop!, (well in the old days when we were left out!)
  17. Hi Shipmates, Full steam ahead on this one, the Hatch done, Hull Re Sprayed, Steering chains done, Handrails done and some other little fittings not that apparent. Just now waiting for the rigging gear and lights and some other little bit n bobs to enhance it. Sneaky Titanic in their too.
  18. Thanks for that , Wallet just drained ...again..on my final bubble packs. Kegs bundle (sounds nice a cuddly) ordered in one sweep plus my RC FW-190D 33 inch Park flyer landed came too Horray!. Wifes car Insurance bill moments after...my short lived joy was sucked back out again. The 190 is begging for a repaint and of course the weather changes for the worse.
  19. Class 73 for power and some Airfix Mk.2s for the Non powered yokes.
  20. Love it, Bit of life left in her yet. Lovely work there to!
  21. Some haul mate, Well wear!
  22. Bloody hell that looks great, I like the how I did it pictures too. Where do you pick up that blue foam these days?
