Bagged Cement Wagons - The Wagons with Wheels and Chains.
Georgeconna posted a topic in Irish Models
Hi Lads, I broke into my stash or MIR models recently and I am building 10 Curtain Sided Cement Wagons and 4 of the Larger wheels and chains wagon. I know you chaps are fonts of knowledge and was wonder if any one has a piccy of the Chain arrangement for both ends or even a diagram for same as for the life of me I cannot work how it works out. Most photo when zoomed in loose their clarity and the instructions don't even depict the chain set up The Piccy below is the best one I can find on the net. II'll lash up some piccys when I get a moment. -

Luckily I got mine today!, Can I ask about the DPD contract you have?. My first package was left outside my door in a Estate. How it was not pilfered I don't know and the second one exactly the same. Before I lash an Email off to DPD are they Obliged to get a POD signed for. There is a Spate of Thefts recently, not restricted to my own area but it all seems a bit Careless by DPD to leave it outside my gaf in view of everyone. I will change the Delivery address for any future things to work I reckon to be safe. Dunno what anyone else thinks? Thanks anyway lads. dunno how you manage the effort this time of the year but you did it. enjoy the break lads!. I am out to the shed to run a train around the 1st laid loop on the layout. the Merchant Navy s will be taking a break tonight Yippie!! -

Hello JHB, Are the points Electro or Insulfrog please. Do you have the Catalog Numbers as I might be interested in those plus the track? How many lengths do you have? Regards George -
Yes Must kick into that one asap. Any Black 5's around gratefully accepted as I need one for a Chassis.

Beauty is the Eye of the Beholder. This model was at the engineering exhibition in Ally Pally a few years back. Stunning GT3 5 1/2 inch gauge model.

Thanks GD, I went with Red Oxide (just looked at the side of the paint tin!!) Phew but did paint 2 black and they do look smart to boot especially with the Blue Keg surrounds (were they ever blue!!), ah well the Airbrush will be back out tomorrow night. I'll have to knock the BR out of me with that Bauxite talk. off to kip now. G

Hi lads, I notice the Orange Bubbles have a grey Chassis, the MIR sheets at the time indicated a Black chassis on the painting instructions which is what I went with. I am doing a few 20ft Flat Wagons and I notice Wagon painting Instructions for the Keg Wagons also have a Black chassis. What time frame did the Black Chassis Exist in before it turned to Bauxite or did the Black Chassis ever exist on the 22ft Flat Wagons at all? Was it a freight flow colour or such? I cant seem to put a finger on a picture for me sins. Tia George.

Welcome to the Hobby. Marks Cork have good Selection of Hornby Track but if you're looking after for something in particular give Wayne a call to make sure they have it.

Hi Lads, Hard to get out to the shed with this flipping cold snap but did a wee bit more on the few buses. I have ordered some more transfers from Sunrise in the UK to finish the KC2 off. Hopefully they will come sooner that later. The Dart feeder would be a nice little Additional to Eoins Darts. Maybe a train pack and and bus at some stage!! The Van Holl is nearly complete with just the window frame to do and the bottom floor to Cement in place.
