  3. While slowly restoring the first few pages I came across this set which I previously did not catalogue L149801 One of the odd sets with 2 Mk 111's and a Mk 11 One of the Mk 111's is a Restaurant # 7411 Mk 11 is #5201 & other Mk 11 is #7115
  4. I know Murphys stuff has been manufactured with 21mm conversion in mind Not sure how easy it is but I have seen a couple of 141's running quite happily on the broad gauge track Which reminds me we must get Lough Derg back up and running again, nice little 21mm layout.

  17. The fact that they had to surrender because of lack of supplies and ammunition was seen by the Irish Government as embarrassing and an excuse not to honour these brave men because of political and strategic errors by the UN at the time Indeed the term Jadotville Jack was used later in the Irish Army to describe anyone who neglected to do his duty. Great film by the way, check it out if you have not seen it, its on Netflicks.
  18. A friend got to the final of the local model railway competition. He lost on points. Never liked the troll who lives under the local railway bridge. He’s my arch enemy. Went to a railway fancy dress party. Everyone was wearing platforms. Got a couple of railway buffers going cheap. It was an end of line sale. I’ve always liked one-liners. That’s why I’m a fan of monorails. Ticket inspectors. You’ve got to hand it to them… What’s the difference between a teacher and a railway security guard? One trains the mind, the other minds the trains… I know someone who tried to runway after camouflaging a railway. He tried to cover his tracks. I miss the old days of railway when the engineer had plenty of esteem. Some local engineers took a train for a service, but the vicar said it was blocking the aisle. A train track and a motorway walk into a bar. The train track says “a pint for me, please, and one for the road”. I know an elephant who refused to travel by train because he didn’t want to leave his trunk in the baggage car. A friend of mine quit his job as a reporter and left town by railway. It was an ex-press train. And of course… How would you work out how heavy a whale is? You would take it to a whale weigh station…. Sorry, I'll get me coat..........
  19. Have a look here Guinness had a few but they were bogied wagons
  20. Noel Might I suggest that you put the Pro Go on a flat wagon in front of your loco and push it along? Should give a much better view of the layout
  21. Colin Because of the new MM 201's these Lima ones are not as popular as once they were I really try and avoid them and usually offer somewhere in the region of €30 - €40 for them as a trade in Would then try to get €50 or so for them after a full service
  22. Love these sellers Mad price and will post to UK only https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMA-00-IE-CIE-IRISH-RAILWAYS-CLASS-201-LOCO-207-RIVER-BOYNE-EXCLNT-BOXED-CDTN/263294785476?hash=item3d4d9797c4:g:rQ0AAOSwYxBZ~FrW
