  1. What RTR will you have? is there works on the dart line that weekend?
  2. Something very dodgy going on with Cork and Bandon signs The guy who “purchased” the last one now has one up for sale
  3. I think there are far fewer light green ones being sold. As the IRM A class shows. The dark geeen livery is one of the most popular liveries A46 sold out months before A42 ect. not to mention a Lot of 6 wheelers got the Axe Before they got the light green livery anyways
  4. Yeah he usually does some good vids, good to see some of these semi popular channels. He did one on the listowel railway before too I think, we have many of these other semi popular channels a bigger channel that always gives them a passing note is this guy for instance he talks about the 121s here. And he talked about the NIR thumpers too. this guy below, annoying as he comes off did do a few videos on stuff like the A class, 201 class ect.
  5. What are your projects at the moment That certain other manufacturer announced them years ago and has not released them since Expected release winter of 2023 or early 2024….half tempted to pre order one but makes no sense considering I want to repaint it
  6. As we had the decorated samples for hattons Irish offerings. A certain deisal locomotive that hauled them along with the NIR mk2s comes to mind…one where a lot of the work has been done already with the A class alas a much more conservetive guess would be something like…timber wagons or amonia wagons
  7. In the clips of the quiet man, It appears to be a full break https://www.hattons.co.uk/1056106/hattons_originals_h4_6fb_1701_6_wheel_full_brake_18_in_cie_dark_green/stockdetail 2 3rd class coaches https://www.hattons.co.uk/1056103/hattons_originals_h4_6t_1701b_6_wheel_3rd_419_in_cie_dark_green/stockdetail https://www.hattons.co.uk/1056102/hattons_originals_h4_6t_1701a_6_wheel_3rd_453_in_cie_dark_green/stockdetail and a coach with both 1st and 3rd class compartments https://www.hattons.co.uk/1056104/hattons_originals_h4_6c13_1701_6_wheel_composite_1st_3rd_452_in_cie_dark_green/stockdetail Alternatively you could get the 4 coach pack and save a few quid although this contains a brake instead of a full break. https://www.hattons.co.uk/1056099/hattons_originals_h4_46pack_1701_pack_of_4_coaches_in_cie_dark_green_6t_6t_6cl_6bt_/stockdetail That’s as far as I can make out from the below video
  8. The dark green was 1945 - 1955 officially but could be seen in the late 1950s. the light green was introduced around 1955 and lasted officially until 1962 unofficially a good few years beyond
  9. I have 3 of the light green and the four dark green coaches pre-ordered….it would apear the Black and Tan one is SOLD OUT. I wonder how many of those ones were made compared to the other liveries
  10. Decorated samples out. Those dark green ones look tasty https://www.hattons.co.uk/directory/versiondetails/article?id=594&utm_source=klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=modvehid5011-hattonsgenesisbatch2decosampleswave2&_kx=iCdbkTRB54bdvBXfhOMmOPw0dwQaz3qeKhoAguXYCnoxcrtQZf5qOka6e3Zv4R_b.JGQeXh
  11. I think that might be the case. I’m still waiting for an invoice for a J26 I would have loved to have gotten, but looks like I will never get! That was some 2 years ago. with many people reporting the same thing I would say that either there are no more kits or kit making\selling has ceased for the time being and may return in the future if this is truly the end of SSM then I say thanks for the kits over the years that were for the most part superb and helped me get a bandon tank!
  12. Your right. If regular engines could be converted to hydrogen with relitive ease on tractors, trucks or even cars. It would cut out the huge proportion of co2 burned in producing a new engine while making current engines last a little bit longer as well as be great for the environment
  13. Good to see packages actually getting to ya
  14. Re-engined 071s….how long are they going to be on the rails!
  15. I still have a feeling that farmers will much easier fall to a second hand tractor then these yokes. One of Our tractors cost 60k in 2005, 45 was offered for it after nearly 20 years labour. I should be going up, will check
  16. The red coach (if not the whole train) was used in lifting the west cork line a few years later
  17. On an old episode of top gear I remember how Indian dinners were a subscription service and were delivered by train
  18. What about these. 2 of these quite large lamps. Spotted at me local shop
  19. CIE light green and dark green….can be hard to make up. Would be nice if somone just made a standerd pot of “CIE green paint” like hattons or IRM. if you want tips on CIE green put “CIE green paint Irish railway modeller” into google and I’m sure various threads with various awnsers will come up. With passage green it’s a bit harder. A CBPR coach on original livery was found in 1969 and is recorded in colour on the IRRS archive. Problem is by that stage the liver and crest were WELL faded. In any case any sort of “dark green” will do as who is going to correct you!
  20. I think, certainly with the age of farmers here and certain loyalties those have with certain brands may lead this one to blow over some 50 percent of the tractors sold here are between 3 brands
