1. Hi folks, the 121 kit is sold,so the MIR 071 kit includes sd9 chassis is for sale for 75euro. My mobile number is abover. Eamonn
2. Forgot to say my contact is 087 6982920.
3. I have a MIR 121 and 071 part finished kits for sale.150 euro for both kits. The 071 has a hardwired decoder built in with directional lighting.Obviously the loco needs painting. The only thing missing is brass wire for handrails.Everything else is there including IR decals and numbers. The loco runs on a Blue line sd9 chassis which has never run and only had a quick test run a few weeks ago. The 121 body is good to go bar some finishing touches. She comes with two athearn SW1500 chassis that need work such as wiring to get going. The kit comes with white metal parts. One bogie side frame is broken - missing centre part. I have had these in the shed for a number of years on the long finger to finish,so it's time to see if anyone wants them. 150 euro the lot.
4. Fab paint job,and she looks great.
5. 150 euro for all this lot. The locos all work except the class 33 is missing a gear on one side of wheel drive. They have sat in a box unloved in the attic for years so it's time to give them to a new home. The jinty and 45xx are in great nick and. Some items are not perfect and one coach has no wheels. 087 6982920
6. If you go to youtube and search for Irish loco with sound, you will see a Video of 001 class loco with sound. Some slow running on it.
7. Noel,I posted up a video of my 001 With sound chip and the Deltic chassis a good while ago showing slow speeds. I don't know if it's any help.
8. I was nice to meet you again Geoff. Great to hear wife is doing well.
9. Always a pleasure to look at Tara junction activity.161 and her train are a looking good.
10. Search "b101 loco" on YouTube if anyone wants a quick video.
11. On my workbench (don't ask which page)I have photos of the body from the first batch.I have photos of it on the Deeps layout as well from a while back. Some video of my machine with Hornby 55 Chassis is on YouTube as well-I will post up links tomorrow when I get a chance.
12. John I would love to show it,but I there would by a issue with copyright from the IRRS journal. You can still buy it I am sure. I will look up number.
13. Thats what I was thinking too Ciaran. Remember that nice photo of two 121s and 5 or 6 open Bullieds near Abbydorney on a recent IRRS journal.
14. Some video of my visit to Ballybeg. The ballast train has Mr soundguy 141 realdrive 187 in charge of 12 shapeway/prestwin ballast wagons, while the two plough vans are from SSM.077 came straight out of the box for its very first run and test with Mrsoundguy non realdrive chip, with the first half of the cements my own IFM wagons, while Gerrys own MIR cements make up the second half.
15. I think it's a nice simple short train that a C class looks well on.
16. I brought my provincial open Bullied wagon with SSM 30t van down to Gerry's Ballybeg last evening for its first run. 230 along with IFM open Bullied belong to Gerry.I think the looks very nice and both wagons run very well.
17. The Park royals and Laminate coaches are expensive rtr, however I would like a kit version of the Park Royal when funds permit.I have bought the IFM Curtin and metal door cements in kit form and enjoyed building them People can make up their own minds if they want to buy them or not.
18. Have to agree, excellent tutorials. I found Richies tutorial on the SSM 42 very helpful.
19. I used grey primer on the body and then found out that the tins of grey paint that I had stored are useless so I put on some rust wash and a bit of weathering powder. Sorry about lighting in photos as I had to use flash on phone due to poor light in shed.
20. Love the detail.Well done.
21. Thanks John. They are a nice kit to make. Now to get going with the painting:)
22. That one was 28 euro.
23. A dark day on Irish Railways. Amazing to see those tickets.
24. Just finished building the Provincial Wagons CIE Bullied open wagon. Nice little kit and very enjoyable to build. The running gear underneath is a little tricky, just take your time.A nice kit for anyone who would like to try a resin kit for the first time.I used a bit of scrap brass for the things that stop the door from fouling the running gear. Not sure if they look a bit thin,I can use slightly larger scrap brass if needed.
