  1. Watched it last night, brilliant its back to the past of the first three. Was it really 1977 when it was released?
  2. In the UK "fitted" meant working vacuum brakes so would have the rubber "bags" on each end, piped was just a steel pipe running under the wagon with the rubber "bags" on each end. It just made a connection for the vacuum. Never knew why the rubber pipes were called bags!
  3. Congratulations FL they are top drawer
  4. Your vans look rather good flange lubricator, I did my solitary one by cross kitting with a BR plywood side van and finished with a H van as well. I did not do the X braced ends far to much carving off for me!
  5. JHB check out Cheltenham Model Center website CL 55 were £39.99 brand new & they were in stock last week

  12. Horse, there is a sideview of cls E No 110 Bat in Ernie Shepherd"s Midland Great Western of Ireland page 128. Lucky man wish I had seen that kit!!
  13. I have just bought/won a 1933 Great Southern Railway Rule Book. It is little different from my BR one of the 1960"s! But it was issued to Driver J Canty at Rocksavage Cork in 1933 and he seems t have retained it till 1958, amazing! But under all the aeons of dirt on the covers it seems to be a blue green in colour. I also found a 1935 Tourist and Excursion Fares timetable, fascinating reading and as it states in one add; Pleasure without Restriction! theres a thing!
  14. Went to the Spalding show on Sunday as a venue it gets better every year so its more crowded every year! But if its of interest to you diesel purchaser"s Cheltenham Model Centre were selling Hornby Railroad Deltics DCC ready and brand new £39.99p I believe thats £10 cheaper than Hattons. Yes I bought one, if I had the cash for two then two I would now possess but he could not get a signal for his cc machine but this is unwired Lincolnshire. C.M.C phone no.01242 523117 & 234644.

    Trying

That is a good looking build, very clean and tidy. An etch-primer is a very good idea but try to keep it off any resin parts as I am not sure about a chemical reaction.
  24. Unless you want or do collect that sort of thing it seems a lot of money. But the condition looks good except for that one coach with no bogies.
  25. Good work David, your work has reminded me I have a stash of nickle silver sheet that should be turned into something good before it crumbles to dust! Thats how long I have had it.
