  1. Impressive little thing!!
  2. Check for replacement tips too. You'll normally find listings on eBay etc. the tip will eventually wear away so being able to replace it with readily available spares is a must have.
  3. Just wow!! Pure quality!
  4. Halfords do a 40w iron that's extremely good for 20 euro last I looked.

    Hello

Hey Bman - welcome! Hoping you can find those photos!
  7. The Site Forums are: Irish Railway Modelling which contains 11 high level forums, all relating to Irish Railway Modelling (primarily models of Irish railways but as I said it works both ways) Followed by a small section on Photo Galleries - full of reference material for the Irish Railway modeller Then Railway Related modelling - showcase skills and models related to your model layout, be that buses or planes, or trucks or buildings (still on topic here as far as I can see) Then we have a very clearly delineated "Non irish railway modelling" section, where those modellers who look to the British, US, Canadian or other outlines can share their skills and experiences. Then we have a forum for almost every single supplier of service, goods, models, materials and similar - all directly there due to the relevance to the Irish Railway modeller. In addition, we have a Blog section for Irish Railway Modellers can keep a diary - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/blog.php Albums - for your Irish railway Modelling photos and videos http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/album.php A Calendar - for items of interest to the irish Railway Modeller http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/calendar.php And an extensive and growing Resources Section - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/content.php - containing prototype drawings and a database of Irish Railway Models. Pretty clear to me what the site is about :) To requote the 'goal' for the site when it was created: The goal is to run an open, transparent community for the irish railway modeller and modelling.
  8. Can't beat a pair of briatols alright! (Ill get me coat)
  9. As Glenderg said its a 'bit of everything. You can take it to be those that model the railways of Ireland or those who railway model who live in Ireland or are Irish. We're a fairly open bunch really :)
  10. Great idea all in place. Looking forward to some posts. My own very first modeling was air fix kits, a spitfire if memory serves!
  11. Lots of BR and British outline heads here Steve - please feel free to post - I'd echo warbonnet - those prices seem very fair, good luck with the sale!
  12. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/forumdisplay.php/56-Aviation-Modelling Aviation Modelling!

  14. Absolute stunners!! Well wear!!
  15. You should be able to upload anything under 2mb and 1024x768 pixels.
  16. An absolute cracker Noel - I love how you spoil us by setting up the little cameos
  17. Cheers lads! Little darling no. 3 distracted me rightly there for 6 months too, but now the kids are back to school and some semblance of normality has resumed CTC is installing, then I want to finish the lighting project that's been sitting on the floor for 7 months (!) Basically LED profile strips running at a 45 degree angle on the roof, to provide 'daylight' light levels on the layout. Once done, I've another 20 or so cobalt motors to fit, then wire the motor / accessory bus for the pc to talk to the points! Probably get that far by year end!
  18. What a stunner Fran - do you know if they are going to do a full yellow end I might not be able to resist if they do!
  19. Not much to report the computer control pc and the first screen is now installed! Hopefully work will recommence soon.
  20. Did you remove the ploughs on that? Was it a big job?
