  1. I was up for the second half of today and it was an ok show, seemed to be less than last year, although it did provide me wih the chance to pick up these great goodies from All Scale Models (diorama and desk tidier) I highly recommend them, great stuff!
  2. Here's another video of the spoil trains Don't think we had full 1080p HD quailty back then JB.
  3. Hello everyone, No railway items to report on but I did mange to build 2 military kits, the stash is slowly decreasing the first one is a Pegasus hobbies KV2, a simple kit with some fitting issues and basic detail so I added the steps and jerry can rack along with tools. The second kit is a revell BV P194 which is a Blohm & voss proposed multi-purpose light bomber aircraft of which no prototypes were made so mine is in 1946 livery/condition, this kit took 3 weeks to build so I am glad it's over Nelson
  4. My dad also has this kit, it's fairly impressive isn't it? Perhaps I shall help him start his haha.
  5. Beautiful ship, hopefully Caroline will be finished in the same way, would be a joy to see.
  6. Excellent update/progress Richard!

  8. Wow, some mess, hope it gets cleared safely.
  9. Excellent work on the signals, very nice! Where did you get the brass ladders? And old barney, thank you for the birthday day wish, 3 days ago was my birthday haha.

  11. I forgot all about the portrush flyer, whoops haha, nice video!
  12. Thanks 33lima for linking/posting the drawing and your detailed description of how you went about making your jeep. I can't wait to start my one now haha.
  13. Nice start Richard! The 3d printed windows do intrigue me, can't wait to see what those look like, and of course the completed model. If at all possible, Can you PM me the drawings that you used? I looked in the resources section here but can only find the incorrect 2 step drawing. Thanks.
  14. Thanks Leslie for posting the pics! And to Kirley for your comment. The door believe it or not, when closed actually stays closed, I was thinking about making a latch of some sort but it would be over scale and taking it too far haha, so instead there are 2 strips of plasticard on the ends of the bodies and when the door is pushed shut it lodges in quite nicely. Nelson
  15. Fantastic wagons and video, nice job!
  16. I've always been recommend peco gear lube, obviously for gears, but I've never tried it myself, although I do use some very fine oil that I bought from Squires for moving parts such as valve gear and coupling rods.
  17. Wow! Thank you very much everyone! Seriously I appreciate all your comments, it always makes me proud of my work and happy with it and if anyone has any constructive criticism or advice fire away thank you again! You know what murrayec, it probably is
  18. Good luck Heirflick, now if only this was north of the border haha.
  19. Thank you very much everyone for your comments ^^ Here's the completed wagon, it should have more lettering but my transfer sheet is knackered so I must get round to buying a new one haha. Seen here in the UTA short lived PW livery. Thanks Nelson
  20. Hello Noel! Depending which way your wagon has warped, you could possibly try this technique. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/blog/75/entry-16039-lswr-stone-wagon/
  21. Ahh ok, I call them door springs thats why I got confused hahaha, I can post pictures of the ones I've built if anyone's interested?
  22. Pardon my ignorance but what is a brake wire protector? Is that the 2 staples below the door hinges?
