  1. Here's my finished kit, more pictures can be seen on my workbench thread. Nelson
  2. Hello all, I believe this is the first model that I have completed in 2018, started it at the Bangor show and I'm happy to finish it. Still need to add couplings and transfers (I completely forgot about them) thanks, Nelson.
  3. Hello all, Not too sure whether this is going to be successful or not but I am after a OO gauge resin kit of the NIR Hunslet, the body kit or casting will be fine for me, so if anyone has one they are wanting to get rid of, let me know! Thanks in advance, Nelson.
  4. PM sent
  5. Don't forget about the G5 announced by Bachmann, finally something pure North Eastern. http://news.bachmann.co.uk/2018/02/lner-g5-0-4-4t/
  6. Superb photos, I really like them.
  7. Thank you for the mention, I did indeed create a PG class (number 10) but it was from the GBL series with a Bachmann jinty chassis and new tender one. I do have however a BR black Bachmann one that needs to be done, so it'll be on the workbench soon enough. I've attached these photos as I find them better than the other ones, they give you idea of what's involved, not too much really.
  8. Some really good things to come from Hornby this year, while Bachmann have taken the back seat, but still good none the less. 9. Oh wow, must check that out now, happy days.
  10. Hello all, I just seen this on FB and thought I would share it. Sad to see it go, I remember waltzing in when Joe used to run the shop and it always provided an excellent service.
  11. Merry Christmas all!!!

  12. I've said this before but I'll say it again, I love how the layout is surroundinged by black coverings, really makes the layout pop out and become the centre of attention.
  13. Has anyone else seen this? I just have and it is unreal. Left me speechless, and asking a lot more questions! Got a good laughter from it as well.
  14. Superb!
  15. It's quite ironic that 4 years ago I thought the Sandite set would be out of service and yet it has still been running these past few years, it's very much pleasing to see. If anyone has any photos or videos from this year, they are more than welcome to share. Here's my very quick video, enjoy!
  16. Superb pieces there, thanks for sharing! Here's some coming up on the 18th from a different auction place. Some GNRI nameplates. https://www.gwra.co.uk/nextauction.html
  17. How have I not seen this earlier, the signal cabin looks absolutely amazing, you should be really proud!
  18. Great to see some photos, looking well.
  19. 80 class is looking well, very nice!
  20. Hello Patrick, Thank you for your interest, I unfortunetly have nothing more to show, it has not progressed any further which is a real pity, even for myself to say, so I do apologise. Nelson
  21. The Belfast to Dublin enterprise is here to stay, especially with the recent overhaul to all the sets.
  22. Stay safe everyone, schools and universities have closed for the day here in the north.
  23. Just a quick heads up for anyone who may have had the same idea as me but the Belfast to Dublin line is completely closed over the weekend.
  24. Perhaps the best thing for this would be to see who has done a plough van before and see what you like and maybe contact them to see if they would take a commission, that is if you get no response from this tho.
  25. Hello all, Now that I'm commuting to Coleraine nearly everyday, you very easily spot movements on the network, such as the Sandite, new PW thing movin about and even some new wagons, which is what this thread is about. On Tuesday I noticed a flat bed bogie wagon off the traverser at York Road. It is nearly identical to those stored in Ballymena but they look brand new, with glossy black paint and the springs/axle boxes picked out in blue and yellow. What I want to know is what are they used for? Whilst passing Antrim today, there were 4 yellow boxes on top filled with ballast. The capacity looked very low compared to the ballast wagons currently at Blfast Central. I remember reading on this forum that the construction of them isn't as good as others, so it makes me wonder why new ones are being obtained, that is if they are new of course. I'd be interested to read if anyone has any knowledge or understanding about these wagons. Nelson
