  1. Coming along nicely there Timmy! P.S. If you crop a small bit off the photos they'll upload the right way coz they're either too wide or too tall.
  2. I'd like to see both bogie & bubble cement wagons but would love to see some Cu na Mara Mark 3's even though they wouldn't be the most popular model i would think!
  3. Really enjoyed the fair today, great crowd, tables & atmosphere there. It was good to put faces to some of the names on this site & after chatting to Weshty & seeing the Ammonia's up close, I took the plunge & ordered a rake!! Now all I haft to do is sneak them past me missus & hope she doesn't find out......"I always had them dear!!!!!" Des, shred the invoice if your reading!!! I also picked up a supertrain Mk 2 EGV, i now know why a lot of fella's weren't happy with the paint finish after seeing them up close but it doesn't bother me as I'm turning mine into an intercity liveried one so the stripes will cover a lot up!
  4. Lovely layout, level crossing looks the business!
  5. I hope the cranky mood in some of these posts is down to the 'January Blues' & that February will bring about a more positive vibe!!
  6. You could always try weathering, you'd be surprised how it blends two different shades of livery together especially if the 071/141 is heavily weathered.
  7. I spent nearly a year trying to hunt down a Mark 2 EGV with no luck eventually ended up getting an excellent respray by Graham, very rare coach to find indeed!!
  8. Coming along nicely Tom, you couldn't have picked a more awkward building to model, the angles of the roof is very unusual on that building in Glounthaune Station. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this, keep up the good work
  9. Er......what everyone else said with a big fat cherry on top!!
  10. Try Weshty's SSM site, he has a selection of tail lamps
  11. I'm just happy that more Irish Models are being released!
  12. That was usually because a coach was taken off for a repair or service & when returned to service was stuck on another set to make up the numbers on another set. The 'Galway' set went around for a long while with a 'tipex' Gen Van as the 'Galway' Van was knackered!!
  13. That's what it's there for!
  14. The Galway Mark 2's were different inside also with lilac/purple seats & carpets, it looked the job til after a packed Friday night trip with beer, fag ash & god only what else spilt on to it!!!!
  15. Modelshop.ie or Irish Freight models will re-spray them
  16. New Liveries are done on a coach by coach basis, it would be very unusual to take an entire train out of service for a re-spray unless it was for a complete overhaul (Galway Mk 2 or Enterprise) or if it were a railcar, thats why it wasn't unusual to see mixed rakes.
  17. 216 ain't going anywhere lads.
