  1. Evening Guys, It's been a while. So, this morning I decided to ease myself back into the endless list of projects sitting on the bench, by putting this spare 071 body to good use. First, it was off with the 085 shell. Then, on with the new underframe. With the loco opened up, I placed a driver in the cab and also dug out a spare DCC sound decoder to fit. Handrails went on next. And then finally a little painting to finish off the smaller details. 085 is now 077.
  2. Bagged and Bulk cement passing. Lovely
  3. A favourite of mine. They've turned out really well. Great build, from start to finish.
  4. Oh, now that I like. A couple of IR/IE Baby GM's knocking about. A busy freight yard, plus a splatter of Bus Eireann coaches. Perfect
  5. Really nice work on the bridge. Although a small detail, the H beams really add to the appearance of the structure. Top job
  6. Loving the sound as it struggles to pull away
  7. Brilliant as usual Noel. That's a nice piece of kit. There's also something very relaxing about watching the tamper in action
  8. Individual bolts! Now that's attention to detail. Lovely build, very impressive.
  9. Doesn't sound like a request to me. More like another one of your repetitive demands. And if you reckon it's just a simple case of asking and you'll get, why don't you stump up the six figure sum to get the ball rolling. As for the cottage kit suppliers you refer to. Your comment comes across as if they're redundant, and have no place in the modelling world nowadays. Strange, considering many were, or still are members on here, with one in particular a regular contributor.
  10. It wasn't that long ago that modellers were crying out for high quality RTR Irish wagons. Four lads had the balls to do something about it, and gave us what we wanted, and more. Now we have people whining because the models are coming from the UK, and not being despatched from Dublin as with previous releases. Does 2 or 3 days really matter? I've said it before on here. Some people are never happy. I'll leave there, because I'll probably be banned if I say anymore.
  11. Along with the fire guard, a fire blanket is also a must spudfan. Bit of a passion killer. But needed, along with some other forms of protection in this situation. If you get my drift. Better safe than sorry
  12. Absolute masterclass in model building from start to finish Eoin. Respect.
  13. Great news Fran, and thanks for the update. Mid February or mid May, these are well worth the wait. Loving the loads, they finish off what is a fantastic looking wagon.
  14. Being follically challenged, it's a method I've already tried Broithe, with little success. The PVA tends to disintegrate once you get into the shower, loosing your newly applied hair in the process. Nice work Robert, it's something I've been meaning to invest in for a while now.
  15. Thanks for the comments guys. As always, it's very much appreciated.
  16. I'll bring what's been a very quiet year on the bench to a close, with a few shots of my Silo. The majority of work is now completed, with just a couple of tweaks needed here and there. But for now, it will do as it is.
  17. Lovely shots as always Noel, enjoyed every update throughout the year. I never grow tired of this layout, and look forward to what's to come in 2020 from the Junction. Happy Christmas
  18. Card received this morning gents. Lovely touch again, and happy Christmas to you and yours. Enjoy the break, it's well deserved. I'm sure it will be another extremely busy year ahead for IRM/ accurascale in 2020.
  19. Evening Guys, All this talk going on about containers since the arrival of the liners has given me a little nudge to dig these out. Weatherd these 3 last year, as far as I can remember. These two I've just finished this evening
  20. Good things come to those who wait Dangerous
  21. Very nice Noel. That's an extremely busy Lakeview yard. Sadly, it's a scene that's now long gone. I noticed the ferts and ammonias lurking in the background along with the liner. Fortunately, we can still enjoy it in model form
  22. Always the way spudfan. Never rains but it pours. Maybe it's time to consider selling some organs online. Surely it's worth it, if you can get enough funds for an A class and 121?
  23. Stunning. I had to look at the first photo twice, I thought it was the real thing. Top class layout and stock.
