  1. I know mate:tumbsup: Might use the old frames for a turntable or something, like what the CDR did
  2. And no Richie, I'm not going to glue my hands together!
  3. And now on TV3 tonight with Vincent Browne , WITHOUT Vincent browne. Instead it's Ivan Yeats...Ill stop now..
  4. I wasn't interrupting you Vincent!.. I mean John! Well eh fianna fai...(papers fall on the ground)(tries to get papers with foot, fails miserably)
  5. SSM j26 class Managed to get this yoke started last night, with soldering the bearings onto the frames The kit comes with the original brass frames, and the more modern nickel silver one. The more modern one is recommended. The original one is designed for compensated frames. Bits and bobs
  6. I'm talking to you, in the soft voice, to indicate the seriousness of my speech. I promise to get 40 new different Irish locomotive classes onto the shelf within 2 years. Boom boom! The three amigos as Gerry said!
  7. 6 pints for you, Mister Beumont! I always loved the 70s..
  8. John, crop your images slightly before posting, and they should be the right way up
  9. Happy Birthday Dave! Broithe, that's a very nice cake, but The livery is incorrect, although some pictures, and fading, did make CIE green look a sort of light blue...
  10. Thanks David, might use it for future projects, now to get me some copper cladding!
  11. David, what kind of electrical pick up do you use for your steam locomotives?
  12. As far as they could possibly get before.....their scrapping Wonder if the A in the 201 livery was given the new logo?
  13. Very much so, except Drew painted everything, from his 800s to his G2s in CIE green..
  14. Hi grandad, welcome to the forum Have a look at this thread http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/4248-Turf-Burner-Model?highlight=Turf+Burner I think Dave(Wrenniere) of this forum has a brass model
  15. Oh Sambo. A model of 461. (starts running to Dublin)
  16. I don't mean re bogie the 201s, I mean have a new smaller 4 axle version of the 201s, essentially like the A and C class
  17. I'd say that they would keep a few for as long as they can. I think they REALLY don't want to deal with the thought of having to bring back the stored 201s which lets say the 071s are retired in 10 years, and none of the stored 201s had re entered service prior to that, the would have been in store for about 15 years and would need a serious rebuilding. Of course they could just buy some small locos, probably just 4 axle versions of the 201s, as Dave has mentioned above.
  18. Look, Des I looked up that Harkonnen halabaloo on Wikipedia, so I haven't a feckin clue what feud Ruth is! I don't pay you for distractions...... Lego city eh? I used to have a few KGs of Lego police. I used to think the police station was so cool And would build one 8 stories high!
  19. Indeed! Wonder if he has built any more of these brilliant works of art...
  20. Is that near Ballybeg? Or are they the Harkonnens of dune? And has"the package" been sent?
  21. We are not amused, and for the record I am awaiting a kit of a little 0-6-0, as for the rest of em.. To keep you on your feet, I'm going to make sure you do ALL the buildings for layout no.2, which will come about in a few years...
  22. Jahsus, Mullingar? The shed is in pretty dire condition, they would really need to fix it up, and clean up the yard. On that note, for an update on the greenway thing, buffers had been put in place just before the newbrook road bridge, and the line is cut off in several other places also
  23. What if.. The turf burning project had been a success, and diesel did not arrive until 1965-6?
