  1. Hi Noel & thanks for posting that, the first time I saw it about 4/5 years ago I spotted what was for me possible my first OO gauge set, brings back any memories, btw, did you notice Mr. May saying, He was going to " OUTBID EVERYONE " to get that set!! Money talks !!
  2. Richie, That would be great, seeing anything spray painted on here is just what I'm looking for, can't wait,
  3. Great idea Glenderg, now what's the chance of one of the many experts on here doing a small display, video or the like, of some spray painting, or even respraying, of wagons, carriages loco's ect. I would be very happy, & I'm sure so would a few more,
  4. Davey boy sure it's not for your Fridge,
  5. Hi StevieB, for what it's worth have a look at some of the questions about this very issue, on an earlier tread, to do this the best way I know is to put your question " MK 3 DONORS "into the box in the top right hand corner & you should get some, if not all answers which may help, I'll be watching with interest,
  6. For those on here who would like to get their paws on some of these, best of luck to one & all, http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/pristine-dinky-toy-car-collection-6388518?ptnr_rid=452816&icid=EM_Mirror_Nletter_DailyNews_Features_smallteaser_Text_Story2
  7. Happy Birthday to me & Raquel Welsh, & Michael Keaton & Freddie Mercury ( RIP ) & Jessie James ( RIP ) ??
  8. He has my very best wishes to get back to good health, We need more models, Paul
  9. Noel, don't forget they were the bee's nee's when they came out, for whoever was lucky enough to get them, I for one never did even though I worked in Sweetmans Avenue, Blackrock where the distributors "Toys International " were based & I never knew, saw or heard anything about them, such is life !!
  10. Westport, I'm watching this with great interest as I'll be hoping to be drawing my own layout within the next few week's, well done on what you have drawn up for yourself so far, the boys on here will I have no doubt will give you some very helpful pieces of advoice when it comes down to drawing up a plan, I haven't got a bully's notion as to what's what in planning a layout, so keep it up, you'll get your plan sorted & the best of luck with it, all I'm hoping for is to get a couple of trains running around some tracks, now what do's that tell you, you have even got to put a plan on here, I cannot even do that !!!
  11. Anybody got any photo's of the pick up apparatus for the mail trains, & what other carriages were involved in the train, thanks in advance & thanks one & all for posting those,
  12. That only look's a bargin until you check his postal charges, outrageous, I got an almost identical model in August last & the postal cost was £12.75 including Tracked, Signed for & insured, which I thought. wasn't too bad, but of course I would have enjoyed it more if the postage cost was less, I have also got a 141 from the UK wih a postal cost Of £7.00 which I thought was great, especially when you take the present Sterling vs. Euro exchange rates into consideration,
  13. So you thought we were bad, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BmhnzG7lYeY
  14. IR, fantastic amount of things going on there, & a great variety of vehicles too, you sure have even busy, I forgot to ask you before about that great looking crane, & now you have added a " Container Ship " mind telling me where you got these two items, thanks again, Paul
  15. And I was thinking the one on the right is a MAN, & a Scotsman at that, brave one who lifts that thing up, whatever its called, on any Scotsman.
  16. Always knew someone would have all the details, & of course who else would have the info, but WRENNEIRE, well done Davey boy,
  17. From what I know, & it's not a lot, I remember reading about the " tools " of the original company when it closed & were bought by some staff & they carried on the business, albeit on a somewhat limited scale,
  18. Don't know if this has been mentioned here before, but I just found out the Director's of G. & R. Wrenn have announced that the Company will cease trading in or around the middle of October next, final details will be announced later. I have to say their Loco's, & wagons with such detail was to me outstanding. I just wish I had got more of their wagons, but the price was always a bit of hiccup to say the least, particularly with the Sterling, Euro exchange rates. Posted 14th. July 2015 Very sad to learn about this.
  19. Not the first time this is on Ebay, & the price is no different,
  20. Hi controller, & may I dare, suggest even , you have look for a similar loco, maybe even 2nd hand or more even one needing repairs / spares & have a look at it's makeup, & take your repairs from it, I'm sure the purists on here will be along very soon to give you better !! more helpful suggestions, of course there's nothing wrong with doing a repair/s to a loco you have set your heart on,
  21. Kieran, bloody hell, your craftsmanship on your layout is just totally mega, well done,
  22. August 2015 & the temperature's haven't got any better,
  23. Controller that link's not working, for me anyway,
  24. Hi bhoulihan & welcome to the site, lots of info on here regarding layouts, have a look at the layouts tread & maybe you will get some info there, the guys with the layout skills will be along soon, enjoy the site, & as you're from Cork, won't hold that against you,
  25. Thanks Sulzer201 for posting that, now anyone got any explanation as to why the report took so long,
