  1. It took a lot of work to get the right effect. It was built up with brown enamel then varnished and dry brushed with more brown and Humbrol rust powder, then varnished again.
  2. IRM Ballast Plough VAN. Here are a couple of pictures of the IRM Plough van, before and after weathering.
  3. Beautiful truck, I got one today for my Birthday.
  4. It must be nice to just walk along the track to get the best picture location.
  5. Very nice, I like the stone on the tunnel.
  6. I had a problem like that once with a Bachmann railcar. When i opened it and had a look at the drive from the motor there was a very small piece of plastic catching as it spun round so i cut it off and that cured it. I don't know how much you can see with the cover off but have a good look inside when the motor is running. you can slow it down and try using a magnifying glass.
  7. The bolt heads look excellent, must be a slow job, there are so many.
  8. The Scalescenes model is just under one meter long, so it would need a lot of room to sit, but it would look great.
  9. Here are 4 pictures of the BELL Container ships which would not be too large as a model.
  10. You could try Scalescenes, they do a container ship you have to make from card but it looks the part. £7.99.
  11. That looks amazing, I think i would be afraid to touch it, just stare at it all day long.
  12. Looks great. The shelves are a nice way to display the stock. The way things are going you will need all the space you can get. BTW is that bird real?
  13. Thank's Colin, keep us posted if you can. I will keep an eye out for this as i will be getting some of these.
  14. Do you have a website?
  15. You could just use white lining and put a bit of dirt over it. I think the lining usually faded to white over time when bleached by the sun.
  16. Nice to see the site running again, i was starting to get withdrawal symptoms.
  17. It would be nice to have some pallet loads sitting around in your goods yard. If the two bars that run along the top could be taken off you could remove the pallets and put the bars back on, also the middle bars would have to come out to. I see from picture one that the container locking lugs are there, will these be on the finished model?
  18. Sooo beautiful WOW. It will be nice to have the loads as well. Do the doors open?
  19. The windows are on the CAD drawing, so i hope so.
  20. It's getting closer, i may start saving.
  21. Amazing, You must be glad that's over, it's a lot of hours of your life.
  22. Try Ratio or Knightwing, most big model shops should stock them.
  23. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, beautiful skills.
  24. The lining looks perfect, great job. You must be cross eyed by now.
