  1. Thank's for all your comments. It took a few months to build and i don't have anymore pic's of the construction but i will take more on the next build. The glazing is just clear plastic which is not that clean and scratched if seen closeup. the roof is just sitting their and still needs to be fixed down properly. The next one will be Black & Tan.
  2. Bredin Coach with Brass etch sides. I have had a go at converting a Dapol coach with JM Designs brass etch sides. cutting the plastic sides off to start with was a bit of a job and nearly lost a few fingers. I also added small door handles, soldered on. And i used 2 Bachmann Commonwealth Bogies. The seating was all hand built and 6 people added near the windows so they can be seen. The pipework on the roof was made with 1mm plastic rod and torpedo vents from MJT. The green paint was mixed myself until i had a shade i was happy with. I will make the next one without using the plastic body shell and i will use brass plate for the floor & ends then solder the sides to that.
  3. I would be happy with the etch sides and i will make the floor and ends myself with brass plate already bought so i can solder the sides on.
  4. You won't be disappointed, they look so good.
  5. I would love to have the GSV please.
  6. No nothing this time, maybe the next one.
  7. Does anyone know when the Nov 2014 issue is coming out? Or have i missed it?
  8. All very nice. The track is so real looking.
  9. Saved for later. I will try to build one sometime in the future. Thanks.
  10. Love the wagons. Beautiful paint job, i thought they were real at first.
  11. Thanks for that info, it is a big help. I thought it looked a bit like the coach in the picture below. Can anyone tell me the history of this coach?
  12. My next question is this, I have bought this Ratio coach and intend to paint it CIE green with a snail to make it look like an old GSWR coach and i need to know what the numbers might be and where they would be on the sides?
  13. Thank you Sir. I have been trying to find that out for quite a while.
  14. Can i ask if anyone would know were the railcars all numbered starting with the number 2xxx used on the green and orange & black, Then changed To 6xxx when used for push-pull?
  15. Could the neg's be scanned onto a computer and then made positive and then adjust brightness/contrast etc, so they can be saved that way instead of putting them through a lab?
  16. Very realistic & nice weathering. Are you going to do some Irish ones ?
  17. beautiful scenes. Can you say what are their locations?

    Class A

When i got it, it was bright orange so i put some brown on it and it looks ok. The slow running is very good right down to a crawl, but keep the track clean.

    Class A

Got the Black Beetle into my C Class. It's 15:1 ratio with 34mm wheelbase and 12mm wheels. It runs very well, i tried pulling 9 wagons and no problem at all, it could pull more. Along with the other bogie it has all wheel pickup and runs over points well. This last pic shows the old motor nearest camera, it was a rough runner.
  20. Try laying the model on one side and dont hold the spray can too close and build up the paint in thin layers. I sometimes blow hot air to speed up the drying but never heat it to much or the paint will bubble & plastic will warp. If you dry brush a bit of brown over the transfers it will help to make them blend in with the rest of the model as the white can be to clean and bright.

    Class A

I bought a Tenshodo motor bogie and thought that it was not that great, so i am going to try a Black Beetle in my C Class and see how it goes. If that works then i will do another C Class. Im building a Plasser Tamper Machine so i might use one for that.
  22. That's a nice set of vans. What colour of green did you use for the post van?
  23. I found this pic on the web and thought it might be of use to you.
