Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) A bit of a last minute thing. But I got to spend a few hours in Kildare Station yesterday. Some great 071, 201 action and a few interesting PW movements. A very big thankyou to ttc0169 for the info and keeping me up to date on movements. enjoy:tumbsup: Edited January 11, 2013 by Anthony Quote

ttc0169 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Glad to be of help Anto, great videos of non-stop action, A nice bit of Per-way dept shunting at the depot, and the rare sight of a nine wagon Waterford-Westport empty timber train-normally twelve wagons. You picked a good day for some action-which will get much better in a few weeks with even more liner trains...... Quote
gm171 kk Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Isn't there a Cork liner starting or something? Quote
Garfield Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Just the DFDS liners from the West restarting, I think. Quote

201bhoy Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Isn't there a Cork liner starting or something? Sorry to start this up again, but just asking where you heard about the Cork liner? Would love it to be true, but as North Esk has been disconnected, I'd say it probably isn't Quote
gm171 kk Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I got an e-mail from IÉ Freight saying they hoped to have one running in the new year. That was it really. Quote
201bhoy Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I got an e-mail from IÉ Freight saying they hoped to have one running in the new year. That was it really. That would be brilliant! Maybe a return of North Esk then? Quote
Kirley Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Great videos Anthony of what’s happening on IE today. You must of had a long and cold stand to collect so much footage, thanks for sharing. Quote
Warbonnet Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Nice vids man. Kildare is probably the best place around for variety. And with the rumours of more liners starting up it's going to get better. Mind you I wait till the sun comes out! Quote
