Irishswissernie Posted yesterday at 12:40 Author Posted yesterday at 12:40 Looks like it, this is a better view. 2
16miller Posted yesterday at 12:53 Posted yesterday at 12:53 I ask as on my garden railway I erroneously put a signal arm facing to the right. I was told that was incorrect, but it pleases me that I've found an example, and in Donegal as well! 3
airfixfan Posted yesterday at 21:38 Posted yesterday at 21:38 Must check my own collection of Tooban Junction
Irishswissernie Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago (edited) We returned from last weekends Ffestiniog Gala like drowned rats with only one day of sunshine and broke our journey at Ribblehead where the foul weather continued. Two stills from the video there and I will return to the good (?) old days with the next post. 2026-10-05 Blea Moor RHTT 66801 + 816. - Not sure that the rails needed the washing treatment !. 2026-10-05 Ribblehead 66695 Horton - Brin'Heath. Plenty places never got bilingual nameboards and kept their old English only boards up to closure. Off the top of my head Loo Bridge, Abbeyfeale, Lixnaw, Newmarket, Rathduff, Bruree and Tubber (still in place last time I passed!) never received any. Bantry had one or two bilinguals seen in other photos, but were affixed to the signal cabin. 1

Bantry did have a bilingual sign (see first pic). It seems that they were slow to just discard of the old signs in places, which makes sense. it was quite common in west cork to see the two side by side
