RedRich
Lovely Fran, the State Coach is beautiful. The episode of Trainspotting when they were in Dublin where Charles Meredith gave them a look around the coach showed how amazing a piece of rolling stock it is. We should be very proud of it. Warbonnet
The interior of the state coach is beautiful, I just wished I got more and better pics as it was a bit of a rush at the time. Lovely model Dave, I'm 90% sure she got Black & Tan too if you feel the need for a second one. The paint job on that one is 1st class. RedRich
It's a long time since a Mark 3 gleamed sadly... It's a funny thing that the roofs on the MK111's never really weathered as bad as other coaches. I suppose as they were the top link coaches on the network that they kept them clean above the chassis. There was always a set in the wash plant at Heuston, as well as the machines that used to wash the sides from the platform. Rich,

RedRich
by any chance do you have a pic of these? Unfortunately I don't Seamus. My desktop hard drive crashed last year and all my photos are on it, and there were 2 photos of the cleaner. They can I hope be retrieved, but I'll wait until the silly season is over before I get it looked at. I will have a look around on the web and see if something shows up. RedRich
Fran you legend, I've been after some shots of the small air dryer filter for a while. The box beside the air reservoir tanks needs to be hacked around a bit also as it is too small on the model, but it can be done. The weathering looks especially nice and understated on 220, like she hasn't been out of the paint shop that long. If you manage to get some shots of the triple filter on the other side of a 201 it would be hugely appreciated. Rich,

I always wondered if the box was too small, the air tanks themselves were too small, or both! I'll see what I can do in the new year, but it's a bugger getting close to these fellas other than standing on a platform! It's a pity there's no more tours of Inchicore but sure we know who's to blame for that!

Warbonnet
A few more prototype photos from myself uploaded. I'm going to go for the more unusual and for stuff not always photographed but that might be of use to modellers (as well as the more glamorous stuff!) when I go back out with the camera. http://www.flickr.com/photos/77496544@N07/with/10965533366

I suppose that we always go for the money shot when a loco or piece of rolling stock passes. The more uninteresting parts of a loco, wagon, coach, per way vehicle are as you have said of huge importance to modellers. Rich,

thewanderer
Stored 3ICR 22014 was moved from Laois Train Care Depot to Inchicore Works for wheelset attention on Tuesday 26th November 2013. As 22014 cannot be started it had to be hauled up dead in train by 22051 at 35mph. The 1320 Laois Depot - Inchicore movement is pictured passing Cherryville Jct. http://smu.gs/1jGPbdl The Wanderer.
