DiveController Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Just finished an S Class and a S2 Class locomotive. From this to this And from this to this Hope to have some pictures up on Kirley Junction soon. Nice job, Kieran! Look fantastic. Wish I had the skills:facepalm:
Kirley Posted February 13, 2016 Author Posted February 13, 2016 So that's where those parts were going into! White metal bits supplied by Weshty which I think made a big difference to the models. One part I was worried about was the whistle but it worked out OK.
richrua Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 those are absolutely amazing. Would love to try that myself. The lining is very intricate.
Barl Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Excellent work Kirley. Both models are things of beauty. Can I ask how you did the lining on the models? It's something that's always scared me about doing steam conversions!
GSR 800 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 For the firebox, what did you use? Half a pipe maybe?
Kirley Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 Barl -I used LNER lining from Modelmaster, GRS800 - used conduit piping for the firebox.
