WRENNEIRE Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Hope to be there for the weekend on the Chris Dyer stand Pop over and say hello, and maybe grab a bargain Part exchange is encouraged so if you have any bits you wish to trade bring them along and PX them for something you want!
WRENNEIRE Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 What make are the mk3s just wondering? Lima repainted stock as far as I am aware
201bhoy Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Wren if you are able to could you put up pictures of the mk3s?
WRENNEIRE Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 They are in Chris's stock I'm afraid I do have them myself from time to time This is a Supertraim liveried one.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I know those coaches Dave. Why is it every time I paint something for you its ends up in your collection instead of you selling it. They do look sweet:o
201bhoy Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks for uploading the photos. Are there other ones like a restaurant carriage or 1st and 2nd class non-push-pull ones? That's some nice work Anto!
Kirley Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Just back from the Bangor Show. Well attended with lots of Suppliers and Traders. It was good to meet members from this side including some "Moderators" The star of the show was on The Model Shop, Belfast stand with a 071 in a glass case. Sorry about the poor quality of the photographs. The best layout for me was Loughrea by MRSI This was the first time I had seen it and was very impressed.
BosKonay Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 That looks to be an 071 prototype not seen before too? Has the brass detailing and is in the black plastic?
201bhoy Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Have to say I thought Carlow n guage layout was the best! I was trying not to buy anything but I couldn't resist buying a weathered 177 from Wrenniere....
RedRich Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Niiice! Get any more photos? My sentiments exactly Stephen. That pre production model looks far more advanced when compared to the other models that were on show in Wexford. The bonnet side grille looks tasty, and so do the tablet catchers. Rich,

Kirley Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Niiice! Get any more photos? No, I took lots of Loughrea because I was so impressed with it. I'm sure there will be other photographs of the pre -production 071 by others to come later.
RedRich Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Loughrea seems to have had some cosmetic work done since I last set eyes on it , and it looks all the better for it. Any more pics of layouts Kirley please. Rich,

201bhoy Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 He lured you into his spiders web then. Rich, I know! I probably was initially going to get some mk3s but he didn't have any in IE livery left.

jhb171achill Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I saw that layout a few years ago, alongside Belturbet at the Bangor show. Both are superb layouts, very realistic.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 He lured you into his spiders web then. Rich, He lured more than one he caught me to:confused:
