201bhoy Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Layouts coming along nicely Vincent! Judging by your magazines, remind me never to ask you for tips on upcoming football matches Oh it's ok, I'm just using them precisely because they're old under that is an O'Neills catalogue from 1989!
201bhoy Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Few more pics... You're probably all sick of seeing 220 by now but she's my pride and joy and I only have 3 Irish locos at the minute! That'll soon change as I think I'm gonna scrump up for 112 and I'll get 229 or 222 in due course
201bhoy Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Looking good!! Could never get tired of her To be honest neither could I, but seeing as you have an entire fleet of them, I thought you might!
BabyGM Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 The layouts coming along great You could never get tired of 220 especially with those galways

RedRich Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Few more pics... You're probably all sick of seeing 220 by now but she's my pride and joy and I only have 3 Irish locos at the minute! That'll soon change as I think I'm gonna scrump up for 112 and I'll get 229 or 222 in due course I'll never get sick of seeing her Vincent. 220 was always a favorite of mine prototype wise. My model of 220 is one of the prides of my own fleet. I love the original IE livery on the 201's. I was lucky enough to have traveled in the cab from Waterford to Dublin many years ago. One of the drivers that I know presented me with a cab pass and it was a great experience. I traveled in 201 on the return journey that evening. 220 opened up to full pelt running through the flat lands of The Curragh, it was an experience I will never forget. Things are beginning to take shape with the layout, good for you. Rich,
201bhoy Posted December 10, 2012 Author Posted December 10, 2012 Thanks Rich! Would've loved to be in 220's cab full pelt, she's my favourite loco too. She's weathered by the Model Shop Belfast, great service!

RedRich Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Thanks Rich! Would've loved to be in 220's cab full pelt, she's my favourite loco too. She's weathered by the Model Shop Belfast, great service! It was a great experience Vincent. Even if the driver reduced the speed down 5 mph you could feel it. It's a totally different experience to sitting in a coach where you watch things pass from the side. The model looks great. Rich, Rich,
Barl Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 She'll look even better with your mk3s! Whenever they arrive, you're not allowed open them until Christmas day :D
Broithe Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Whenever they arrive, you're not allowed open them until Christmas day :D And then only if you've been really good..

201bhoy Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 I know! 220 will always be my favourite, but I have to say that in terms of modelling quality, 112 surpasses it. By the way, has anyone got any photos of a 111 with mk3s?
