Layouts coming along nicely Vincent! Judging by your magazines, remind me never to ask you for tips on upcoming football matches :D

Oh it's ok, I'm just using them precisely because they're old :) under that is an O'Neills catalogue from 1989!

You're probably all sick of seeing 220 by now but she's my pride and joy and I only have 3 Irish locos at the minute! That'll soon change as I think I'm gonna scrump up for 112 and I'll get 229 or 222 in due course ;)

Thanks! At this stage just really excited about finally getting a train running on the layout!

I'll never get sick of seeing her Vincent. 220 was always a favorite of mine prototype wise. My model of 220 is one of the prides of my own fleet. I love the original IE livery on the 201's. I was lucky enough to have traveled in the cab from Waterford to Dublin many years ago. One of the drivers that I know presented me with a cab pass and it was a great experience. I traveled in 201 on the return journey that evening. 220 opened up to full pelt running through the flat lands of The Curragh, it was an experience I will never forget.

Things are beginning to take shape with the layout, good for you.

Thanks Rich! Would've loved to be in 220's cab full pelt, she's my favourite loco too. She's weathered by the Model Shop Belfast, great service!

It was a great experience Vincent. Even if the driver reduced the speed down 5 mph you could feel it. It's a totally different experience to sitting in a coach where you watch things pass from the side. The model looks great.

I know! 220 will always be my favourite, but I have to say that in terms of modelling quality, 112 surpasses it. By the way, has anyone got any photos of a 111 with mk3s?

Thanks a lot Rob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I can operate 112 and the mk3s knowing that it's prototypically correct!

Ernie's archive is well worth a look for finding the out of the ordinary... or just mildly remarkable to the modeller...

Nice work !

The MK 3's look great with 112 and 220

Cheers babygm! Really happy with the rake myself! Great to have got all 5 at once, 5 is the perfect number for me, just fits into the platform with a 201 at the head :)

Great website alright. 112 seems to have been photographed a lot round Waterford.
