  1. You make it sound like you have a problem, or that there is a problem. Not as bad as your man saying "promised" as if he's been personally let down by Paddy Murphy. Jaysus, when there's something to be announced, it'll be announced. How about not bitching about wanting another announcement, within hours of this one? Pretty sure that YOU sold one to a forum member recently, in basically brand new condition, for less than a new one is likely to cost. Not everybody is a gouger.
  2. What do you mean by "what has become" of them? You make it sound like they have been cancelled or inundated with problems? Why "behind" ? It sounds like there will be samples and photos, which would imply that these are not "behind" anything else but ahead of them. Mk2D's were always the logical choice before Mk3's, assuming the tooling still exists.
  3. Ha! You and your never again! Would you like ketchup with that hat? Being serious, though, this is awesome news! Thank you for letting everybody know, and presumably, you had a hand in guiding the behind the scenes decisions! Sounds like there will be eight locos launched in total, a 141 and a 181, in each of the four main liveries? And the scalpers like @Look-its-evan will be frothing at the mouths, not sweating!
  4. Easy to Irish-ize for some folk: https://www.hattons.co.uk/1003109/bachmann_branchline_32_150v_po01_class_n_2_6_0_1860_in_southern_railway_black_livery_with_southern_sunshine_lette/stockdetail
  5. Because Harp didn't want their kegs getting nicked like Guinness ones on the open flats!
  6. Very Canarian looking skylines in the last few photos... And that grey unit reminds me of the old orange-ish TGV's from the early nineties!
  7. Awesome!!!!!!! Just so you know, the empty flats don't show up under the Container Liner heading, but do show under the general wagon collections heading. Product link: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/wagons/products/cie-ir-42-flat-triple-unloaded-flat-b
  8. Are those pocket wagons ever going to be put to use again?
  9. You are speculating. Heljan announced CAD in June. Peco were already in production in June. Hornby announced the launch months later. No CAD, no samples, nothing. If Hornby had been planning this in advance, why was there no mention in their 2022 range? Or any mention at all before now? It stinks, that's why. I'm not saying that Hornby were not working on this the past five years, as you claim, just that there is no evidence nor indicators of the same. We can only judge based on what we know.
  10. Agreed. Market killer for a quick buck. Hornby had their CAD done months before the June announcements by Heljan and Peco?
  11. Definitely possible, although it sounds like Heljan, Peco and Gaugemaster were planning the launch for quite a while, and probably wouldn't have invested in it if they didn't feel that it would not just survive, but thrive. Hornby's bulldozing is unfortunate and probably unforeseen by the others.
  12. Heljan and Peco made moves several months back, in unison so to say. The Hornby range, covering the Heljan models, is new.
  13. Almost sure that warbonnet posted to clarify that the three are railway items rather than vehicles or accessories.
  14. Feels like Hornby only entered the market to take a potential share from Heljan, rather than to actually embrace the market. As if success came secondary and hurting another company was the primary aim.
  15. Sure we'll probably have the pre-show announcement today, and two more at the weekend!
  16. Two packs of Ferts going cheap today: https://www.ebay.es/itm/165737827706 https://www.ebay.es/itm/165737826356 And this fellow has a tonne of Irish stuff at great prices - 50% to 150% mark-up: https://www.ebay.es/sch/i.html?sid=irishmodels63johnpaul
  17. If there is no NIR stuff like 111's or Hunslets to haul the Mk2B/C packs, maybe we'll see Irish freight stock - bogie cements, ammonias, timbers, or even auto-ballasters.
  18. Less than half that! And he still has it for sale, I think? If so, I might buy it from him and sell it for €400 on eBay. I'm sure they bought it themselves using another profile in order to inflate prices, there has to be some con going on there.
  19. This Spanish magazine trio and their IRM colleague have been in the post since April!
