  1. They'll look great, wherever they went. Hopefully @Dempsey releases them soon as his first Irish wagon.
  2. Pretty sure this was done to death on the announcement. Same chassis means a smashing model at a smashing price, with a few trade-offs like the NEM pocket and the 21mm re-gauging. Definitely won't stop me from destroying the bank balance! P.S.:
  3. While we're on the subject of mental insanity, I'm doing a clearout and I have the following to go at €500 each: Pudding bender, hardly used Spotted paint, single coat Glass hammer, smashing price Chocolate doorknob, barely nibbled Contact Annette if interested, Annette Curtain...
  4. Yup, the Tara's are shorter, and they go around R1 curves no bother.
  5. The close-coupling bars are awesome! I'm pretty sure that they came not only with the Tara's, but the whole Project 42 run. They couple the wagons more closely, they run more smoothly, and look less obtrusive than TLC's.
  6. How are the Mags looking stock-level-wise currently?
  7. Which locos, though? The IRM 071's or their GSR 800 Class?
  8. Just to clarify, I obviously meant Megalomaniacs, nothing maternal...
  9. I'd say that it starts with an "M" and has about 13 letters in it's plural form.
  10. Once you've tracked down the missing info and posted photos of the finished model, IRM will announce their own version...
  11. What's the correct pronunciation of Accurascale? Emphasis on the first A or on the U or what? I've been putting the emphasis on the U, but I suspect that I'm wrong, if the first half of the name comes from the word "accurate" ...
  12. Slightly OT, but you know that you can unscrew both wheelsets, awap them around, even "fake" having a second trailer?
  13. The perfect base for anybody wishing to create a static model out of their retired SF A class loco: https://www.ebay.es/itm/115378262965
  14. That's either too much or not enough. 71 things would be awesome but 22000 things would be better.
  15. Donkey Kong is pre-historic. Highly likely that the Irish modellers have a slightly younger demographic than British modellers... Or to flip it on it's head, it's likely that the more mature modellers ended up modelling British outline due to a lack of choice / skills / time, whereas the slightly younger modellers have a different world facing them.
  16. Seeing her at Hueston North is the next best thing.
  17. They'll probably paint her grey, stick on some pantographs and stick in a big fat electric motor. The first carbon-nuetral 201 or whatever.
  18. IRM 071's in 2025!!! Who'd have thunk it? Great to hear that there are so many kids out there getting into the hobby. They'll be snapping up any 201's, Mk4's, 071's, 111's and 22000's that might hit the market!
  19. I wonder if that hint is about an entire Project 42 re-run... I wouldn't say no to a few rakes of Container Flats with different containers to the first batch. The Bells, B&I's and CIE's really screamed "Typically Irish", so what else would offer variety over the first run while still having the same message?
